I'm Beginning to Get That DVC Feeling....

That tiny little tingle that tells me I will be in WDW ...

NEXT WEEK!!!!!!

OK, OK, we are going to Sea World for the weekend, and leaving for Universal during the middle weekend, but otherwise we'll have 12 wonderful nights in a DVC villa - 5 at the BCV and 7 at the VWL.

I am beginning to get so excited I can hardly stand it. DD18 has been really busy this summer, but we were driving somewhere the other day and she finally realized our trip is soon, and we both said, in a kind of quiet voice, "So, do you want to talk about Disney?" And we both shrieked "YES!!!!!" and had so much fun talking about what we are going to do, etc. DD13 is just home from camp and has whirled into the social groove with her friends, so I haven't had as much time with her, but I know this weekend we will sit down and make some final plans.

WE CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! Love, love, love the DVC and the developer points that are making the second week possible!!!!!!

I hope someday to have a family (my own future kids) that loves disney as much as I do like that...

I read a lot of posts on the DIS about kids aging out of Disney vacations, and I am so glad mine haven't yet!!! Although DD18 will occasionally miss a trip (last year she did something with college friends instead of meeting DD13 and I at WDW during Spring Break, and sometimes DD13 and I go on a school break when DD18 has classes), she is always up for it when we are able to go as a family. (We are a family of three - me, DD18 and DD13.)

I know we will spend a lot of time just hanging in the villa, ordering room service and watching Lifetime movies - in spite of my old commando urges that make me want to be up and out the door by 7am every day. But we will all get to have the vacation we want - I finally realized that if they wanted to sleep late I could just go on to a park, do a few things I want to do (like shop, meander, etc.) and meet them later, instead of fretting all morning that we were wasting time while they skept in.

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!!!!!!!
