Got back Saturday from 2 wks in orlando and 1 wk on gulf coast.

Had a totally fab time. Didnt stop for breath ! Highlights include tandem skydive :scared1: , rodeo, shooting a machine gun, swimming with manatees, going in a helicopter and of course all the parks. Mickeys not so scary halloween party was great, as was Soarin, Mickeys philharmagic, the mummy and sheika, all of which we hadnt done before.

Started to write trip report on the plane home, but the turbulence was quite bad, and I gave up. Will try again when I get a free minute.

One of the funniest things was on the first day, when we were going across the lake on the ferry to magic kingdom. Saw a group of people all wearing lime green t-shirts, also with matching bags, hair bands, shoelaces etc. I had my green ribbon tied on my rucksack, and was sure that these people would be members of DIS, so of course I went and spoke to them. When I asked them, they looked at me like I was from another planet, and didnt have a clue what I was talking about ! They said it was so they could recognise each other !

I guess we Dissers think we've the only ones to wear lime green! how funny

Hi Jan, I don't think (although I may be wrong) that theres any special significance, just a tradition some dissers started to recognise each other due to the fact that theres not a great deal of lime green clothing around so it makes you easier to spot.

We stayed in Indian Rocks beach, which is between Clearwater and St Petes, at the holiday inn harbourside. It was a lovely hotel, and really nice beach. We stayed at St Petes 2 years ago and really liked it, so knew we wanted to keep in that area. Would go back to Indian rocks - really liked it.
Have you been there Johnny ?

Sarah - I would have thought they were DISers too :) Glad you had a fab time :)

I liked Indian Rocks when we went there - we stayed in Clearwater though :)

Welcome back, sounds like a brilliant holiday! I would have thought they were Dissers too LOL, bet they thought you were a mad Brit :teeth:

WOW! What a lot of exciting things you did! Can't wait to hear more about it. :)
