Well for those of you who have been hanging around this board for awhile you may remember me, newer folks won't.

In the fall of 2003 I reached my ultimate goal. I had lost 115 pounds (from 250 to 135) and even more importantly had all of my blood chemistries, etc where they needed to be - in "normal" ranges. After holding it through the holidays and into the early Spring of 2004 I signed off.

Unfortunately, a change in insurance coverage had my doctor changing one of the few medications I still needed after all that hard work and loss to a generic version. It didn't work. So 9 months, numerous dosage adjustments, finally going back to the name brand at the original dose  and getting that metabolic situation back under control (the rest stayed ok) I find myself with 30 pounds that I need to re-lose. Thank you managed health care.

Anyway, I didn't mean to vent - just explain. So I'm back to the support group if you all will have me....

Deb

Deb-We are glad that you are back. Yes the managed health care can be a pain in the butt sometimes. I'm sorry you find yourself where you do, but at least you know it and you are ready to get back to the plan. I am not in the exact same boat (mine wasn't from medication, etc., just plain laziness and no motivation), but I have a good 50 pounds to lose after being right at my goal. So we are all in this together and need each other to help keep us motivated and inspired.

Well, a part of me says I hate to see you back but the bigger part of me says YEAH!!! MORE BUDDIES!!! :) We'll get you down 30 pounds and for good!!! Actually you'll do all the getting we'll just be on the sidelines cheering you down! :) :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I lost 55 pounds over a year ago...gained 20 of it back and having only been here 3 weeks have already lost half of it! :) So just set back...kick in your good eating mode...train your brain to commit to exercise and DRINK YOUR WATER!! :) I'm the worst on water and some of the others so I have to yell that out so I myself can hear it! :)

LET'S GET LOSING!!!

Tara

Hey Deb! Didn't know you were a WISH'er before. (Never would have guessed you were 100 pound heavier at one time!) I'm still trying to recover from my sins of the holidays. (I can't have been too long if my tree is still up, right?) Scott & I are signing up for the marathon to try and get us inspired again.

Good luck and Welcome Back!

Thanks all! It is just that inspiration and encouragement that brought me back. I know I can get it back off, just wishing I didn't have to. Ok, enough poor me... :goodvibes

And Carrie remind me to show you the cruise picture to "prove it" next week!

welcome back!

I also came back after some time off and a weight gain. So I'm getting back on track and back on WW and am ready to knock off alot more poundage.

Good luck with your weight loss plan.
