Just got back from DLRP

Really good week. Highlights include finding 4 (yes 4!!!) Hidden Mickeys; getting 34 autographs from characters and the Tower of Terror! Full trip report will be posted once the post trip admin has been sorted out, but its been an amazing week and now im shattered!

Just heard about Crush's fastpass that starts tomorrow! Typical it starts that day after I get back, it would have been very usefull this week, but at least it will be there when I go next time.

Off to do some washing and get some sleep

Can I ask a silly question? What are hidden Mickeys? I can gather it's something to do with the mouse dude, but what exactly?

Hidden Mickeys originated when Epcot was built. The whole idea was for Epcot to be completley separate from the Magic Kingdom and therefore it was to have nothing that resembled the Magic Kingdom at all. Mickey Mouse was not supposed to make any apperance in the park, but the Imagineers who were working on the theming decided to add a few Hidden Mickeys. They normally take the shape of either the well known head and ears profile of Mickey or a profile view of his head.

They were 'hidden' all around the park made up from anything and everything. They soon became a phenomanen and people devot alot of time to trying to find them. Almost every disney film and theme park is littered with them and it is always fun trying to find them.

The very usefull information thread has more about Hidden Mickeys, but I think that that covers most of the story behind them. Hope that helps - I will post some photo's of the one's I found over the next few days of my 'once upon a dream' trip report.
