Hi everybody....

Just landed, safe and sound, back in Denver only to find out the bombing has started in Afghanistan. No wonder there was heavy-duty security and men in uniform at the airport. Anyway, I'm back home, got Bandie from the kennel (he was very happy to see his daddy!) and now am faced with TONS of laundry to do.

It wasn't the best of vacations, but it certainly had its wonderful moments. I'll go through all of the posts I've missed later on tonight (I've GOT to lie down for a while...the hernia didn't stay in Florida, darn it!), and start working on the vacation report.

As it is, back to work tomorrow, and to the doctor on Tuesday (called him from outside the Tower of Terror....they loved it!). I was supposed to go to Dizzyland on the 19th and New York for an audition the week after, but don't think that's going to happen at this point.

It's great to go to Disney World, but it's pretty good coming home as well.

Sending {{{hugs}}} to all of you.

Welcome Home Steve. :)

I'm glad that you are home safe and sound. It's getting a little scary out there.

I bet Bandit is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!! :bounce:

I'm sorry you couldn't leave the hernia in Florida. :( I hope that gets fixed ASAP.

So, you can't go to Disneyland??? :( I bet you can. That is almost 2 l-o-n-g weeks away!

Well, get some rest and then start your trip report...... :D

{{{hugs}}} backatchya! :D :) :D :)

Welcome back, Steve! I am glad that you are back safe and sound. You need to take good care of yourself now. And I look forward for your trip report. It is a pity you need to go back to the docks now.

Welcome home Steve. :)

Tia, you are so right!! It is getting scarry out there! My DH told me tonight that he sure isn't going to like my flying anywhere :( I sure hope he doesn't get cold feet. We'll just have to sit tight and see.

Perhaps since you gave your Dr.'s office a thrill of sorts (calling in front of TOT) maybe they could give you a discount. :) Well, it doesn't hurt to dream.

I can't wait to read yout trip report. Will it be posted here, or on the trip board? I want to make sure that I am looking for it in the right place.
Gerri

Welcome home Steve. I am glad to hear that you are home safe and sound. Keep us posted onhow it goes witht he hernia. Take care of yourself!

I started working on the trip report last night. Actually I had already started it a week before I left. The differences between what was planned and what actually happened are pretty amazing. Downloaded all the pictures from my camera onto the computer, and will start working in earnest on it tonight. I'll probably post it on the trip report board, but will let you know here when it goes up.

Some big news from Disney I heard from a CM at Guest Services. Anyone who purchases an annual passport during the 100 year celebration will receive an extra 100 days top of the 365 you normally get. This is not good on renewals, so I may just let mine expire and buy a new one.

I am just about to buy my AP, I hope I get an extra 100 days! That would be awesome! :bounce:

Make sure you ask specifically about the 100-day extension. The CM at Guest Services at Epcot was full of information, the CM at CRO I had to practically beg her for the information. She wasn't about to volunteer anything.

On one of the other boards (can't remember which one) I read that the 100 extra days are only for Florida residents. Hope they were wrong; mine will expire in December. Would be great if I could get 100 extra days on my next AP!!

I was told by CRO that it was only for Florida residents. I then asked her if the 100 days were valid for passport renewals. She said no. I then asked her if the 100 days were valid for new passports no matter where you live. She said yes. I thanked her for being so forthcoming with her responses.

Can you tell she worked my last nerve? :D

It sounds like I'm going to have to have my DH make this call for me........I am not good at that sort of 'pulling teeth' thing.

DH, however, is an expert! :D

I'll try on my own, but if I don't get anywhere.......I'll have DH do it.

Do you think I can still use my DC discount?

I bought my voucher at TDS and will activate it when we are there in November. Does that count for the 100 extra days, since I bought it here, but will activate during the celebration? I anxious to find out.

Hey Norma,

To tell you the truth, I have no idea how this all works. I'd suggest taking the voucher and asking the CM at Guest Services if your 100 extra days is included. Can't hurt, anyway.

:( Well DC said that the extra 100 days was just for Florida residents. :(

I'll try CRO and see what they say! :D

Welcome back Steve! :)

I hope you're feeling better soon!

I look forward to reading your trip report.

Kim :)

:( I was told that the extra 100 days was for Florida residents only. :(

I think I'll wait and see if I can get a 'better' answer. ;)
