Hi all,
No,i did not even go anywhere.last night,btw is was hot(figures)i sat down and put a good movies in to watch.I figured after the movie,i would dis for a little.When thats when all the trouble happened.All my power went dead,my whole house,every floor,even the ac and the back and front yard lights gone.This has never happened before,went downstairs to my basement an checked all the circut breakers and they are on,but nothing has power to it.I tried my best but just could not figure out what was wrong.So My first mistake was calling my local power company(con edision)and not a 24 hour emergency eletrican.So i'm told they will be there within the hour and why should they not,thier base is 2 blocks away.Btw this is at 11pm.So at 1am i called back and told the same thing.So at 2 am i asked to speak with a manager,and are told with in the hour.So at 4:30 am i call and am told that the guy rang my bell and no answer,Maybe thats because i have no power and the bell uses power to work,when i called i told you i had no power in the entire house,did they think i was stealing power from the neighbors to power the bell so i would hear you?
So i'm told within the hour and i tell them i bet you that never happens.So at 8:30 the guy comes and calls my cell which is the first thing i told them the first time i called to do.So anyway all night i could not dis,and the fact that i could not is what was driving me nuts.I had full blown dis withdrawl,the shakes,the sweats,i even started to see the dis homepage at one point in the dark.Anyway a three dollar shorted wire that took only 2 mins to fix is what caused all this mess,but the guy had a good point most shorted wires start fires,so last night i almost had to play mrFDNY hero in my own house.So i guess it was not that bad.Btw i plan to call the manager later after i sleep and fax them my meat bill for all the stuff in my fridge.Just because it took them 9 1/2 hours to get here,from thier base which is a 2 minute walk from and they came with a vechile.But I'm back on the dis!!
