Hi Guys, I wanted to check in and say we're back from vacation. We were in Colorado for 9 days, had a great trip. If I could change anything it would of been the weather, it was cold and rainy just about everyday except the last 3 days, we made do and did everything we had on our list. Now I have to get back to work and get the kids ready to go back to college.

Just thinking about it I believe I need another vacation.

Isn't it always the way; You need a vacation from the vacation!! ;) Sorry you had such lousy weather! :sad2: But the good thing was it didn't stop you from doing everything you wanted to do!! :) Sounds like you had a great time anyway!!:thumbsup2

Sorry about the weather.
You should have come up here!! We have been having extremely dry and warm weather.

I like vacations that make you want to come home to rest ::yes:: I am not one to lay around and do nothing.

Welcome back.

Where at in CO?

My oldest sister lived in the four corner area for quite awhile. And my traveling nurse sister stayed on and off during some of her stints on Indian reservations.
I really liked that area. :) Although even that was a little too quaint for my taste.
We vacationed in CO a few times. Just not my cup of tea. Beautiful. But glad to leave. :lmao: Too much wilderness for me. :rotfl2:

My DH enjoys CO vacations as much as I like ones in Cape May NJ which is where we are now. What are some of the things you did. I could plan something for next year. We visited Durango and Mesa Verde on our last CO vacation. It was wonderful...truly a uniqe vacation.

When we arrived into Denver we had lunch and than went to the Colorado Rockies Baseball game before heading to our resort. We stayed for a week in Breckenridge, which is a ski town near Denver. While there we rode the ski lift up to the top of one of the mountain tops for a wonderful view and rode the alpine slide back down the mountain. We also had our camping gear sent out and stayed one night at Rocky Mountain National Park. The Park was awesome but the weather wasn't good at all (it rained and was very foggy). The boys also played 2 games of golf and we did a small amount of hiking. From Breckenridge we spend two nights at Colorado Springs and did white water rafing (my first time, was very nervous but had fun), we also visited Pikes Peak (it was snowing at the top of the mountain, and what a view from the top) and visited the Garden of the Gods (it was crowded, but there was a very nice and peaceful walk around the rock formations).

Had a great trip.

Sounds great! Years ago, we spent a week in Brekenridge...the rest of the family enjoys skiing. Our rafting experience was a bust one year, from the Vail area in September. There wasn't enough water on the river, and we had to "do" the same stretch of river 3 times, carrying the raft back to the road each time for the ride back to the beginning. What a chore that was....truly no truth in advertising for the outfitter as they described what we would be doing!!! Still the time on the river was fun.
