I had a great time! I got back Sunday night. First I stayed in Florida for a few days. I was at the Sheraton on Buena Vista Drive, by DTD, when Hurricane Charley hit. I got some good video of it.
I was at MK the day before and had a great time. I wish I could have gone longer than one day, but we had to visit my girlfriend's grandparents in Ocala.
The cruise was a lot of fun. I went on Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas. We stopped at Labadee, Hispaniola Ocho Rios, Jamaica George Town, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico. I didn't do any excursions and I don't think I'd go back to Jamaica. It was dirty and boring. Maybe if we had gone to Dunns River Falls instead of staying close to the ship and just going shopping I might have felt differently.
Labadee was beautiful, but my favorite was Cozumel. The water was so clear and I got a lot of great pics of some fish.
As for the boat itself, it was beautiful, and big. Everything was so clean and the service was great, especially our severs every night for dinner. You have the same servers every night and by the end of the cruise, we got to know them really well. So much so, it was kind od saddening to say goodbyr to them.
The only thing I didn't like about the cruise was the entertainment. We went to most of the shows at night and each night there were at least 2 mistakes made by either the dnacers or the musicians. These weren't minor mistakes, either. The first night one of the dancers literally ran in to the side of the stage. It was hilarious to say the least. The singers were mediocre at best.
Overall, I'd give the cruise a 9.5. There was something that I couldn't put a finger on that bothered me about it, but I figured it out halfway through the cruisde; it wasn't the Disney Cruise. It was missing that zest and the overwhelming feeling as though you are witnessing something truly magical. I would sail with Royal Caribbean again, but after I go on the Disney Cruise first.
Part of me is glad to be back home, but I mostly wish I was back on Cozumel, relaxing.
