Hi everyone, I'm back!! We had a wonderful time in Florida, even with the hurricane!!

I will try to post a full report, but we LOVED, LOVED, LOVED... CSR! It is a beautiful place!

I had requested Cabana 8a, because I thought it would be good to be near the main pool. Well when we checked in, CM Evelyn (who was wonderful, BTW) said we would be in 8b and our room was facing the parking lot. I asked if there was anything else available, so she said Rancho 7b facing the quiet pool, nothing in 8a for our lenght of stay. Now at this point this is where all my OVER planning started to cause me stress! I'm flashing back to all the posts here about which building is the best, how big the resort is, how long the walks are to El Centro, etc., etc.

So Evelyn asks if we would like to see the room and it's location, because I'm worried it will be too far. So she has one of those guys who drives the carts take us over to 7b, and it just seems SO far from everything. So we go back and now I'm just so stressed and confused (I'm not mad though), that my DH decided to step in and take over, as I was probably looking a little crazed at this point. So my DH proceeds to explain how long I've planned this trip, blah, blah, blah, and how I just want it to be nice and if his DW is happy, the whole family will be happy.

So Evelyn goes in the back and comes back and tells us that they have upgraded us to a waterview room in Cabana 9b. Now I am flashing back to all the comments about 9b and how great it is because it is so close to El Centro, so I say ok, we'll take it.

We get to the room #9507 and it is a 1st floor corner room, facing into the main lake that is in the center of CSR....PERFECT!!

The corner room was nice because of the 2 windows, which made the room brighter, the 1st floor was great (no steps to climb), when we walked out our room or looked out the window our view was beautiful, and Cabana 9b is so great with just a quick walk to El Centro!

And CM Evelyn was wonderful, very patient, never got an attitude! I did go over and thanked her for the great room and told her it was perfect! Every time we saw her over at the main building she would come over and ask how our stay was going and called us by name, very nice. One day she was in street clothes and came to talk to us. I will definitely write a letter to say how wonderful I thought she was, she really went out of her way to make me happy.

My DH loved this resort, as did my kids.

We ate at the Pepper Market, which was ok. I didn't mind the set up or even the 10% and you certainly got enough food, but the quality was just ok, nothing to write home about. My kids liked eating at the pool bar, they like the burgers there better. We got the refillable mugs, so I'm sure we saved money there, and being so close to the main building, after breakfast we would just have one of the boys run the mugs back to the room before heading to the parks.

My DH enjoyed Franciscos and the pool bar. I had a Margaritta at Franciscos and it was very good!

Anyway, I could go on and on about our trip, our stay, etc. but I'll stop for now. If anyone has any question, please ask away!!

Welcome back Mercy!! Cabana 9b at CSR, it doesn't get any better than that. Glad you had a great trip!

Buzz, you're right, 9b was perfect!! Thanks so much for all you help with CSR and helping me with my decision to choose CSR in the first place!

But I do have to admit that all the infomation overload was the cause of some of my stress at check-in, but it all worked out in the end. Thanks again!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at CSR. 9B is the perfect location on the Cabanas side. We stayed in 8B I believe and it was very nice too. It was right between the Dig Site and the main lobby. The ground is just beautiful, especially at night. It's so romantic. I would like to stay there again. Thanks for sharing your report on CSR.

I've run into more people on the boards who were at the CSR than I saw at the CSR. My family too was at the CSR during the hurricane. We were in the Casitas room 3167. I love the Casitas. Matter of fact I love the CSR. There are a couple of cast members who just plain out rock there. Ryan (who works in bell services), Julie (one of the front desk managers) & the GM ( I cannot spell his name) who bent over backwards for us after our trecherous move from the Caribbean Beach. These three cast members are the poster children of the Disney Magic!

Welcome home Mercy!!! I'm glad you had a great time and stayed safe through the storm!!

I'm glad you made it home safe :D
I just have to ask- how did CSR and HRH compare? We're thinking of maybe spending 2 nights at HRH on our trip next year.
Thanks,
Erin

Thanks for the link, Mercy.
I'll try to prepare myself for the difference in "attitude" at HRH. Yes, we still have 2 months until our next trip and I'm already thinking about next year:crazy: , but I'm thinking first 2 nights at HRH and then the next 5 nights at Poly (if we can swing it).
Thanks for the reviews. That FOTLA at Universal does sound awesome :hyper: , but I'm a total Disney girl.
