I'm back from 3 days @ HH 10/11-13

Hi,

I just got home to rain. It was a wonderful relaxing trip. Our 1 bedroom (1211) was spotless. I will try never to stay in a studio. Just a few minor issues: The light blub was out in one of the LR lamps & the t.v. & VCR were not working (tried to watch the Rookie last night. ) Someone forgot to tell me to bring bug spray & caladral. We are eaten alive! Shame on you guys!! I am mildly alergic to any kind of bite, so I didn't go to the campfire. We spent part of yesterday @ the beach house, just reading & enjoying the view. We ate @ San Miguals mexcian restruant last night. It was very good & fairly resnable. We also ate @ Parrot Cove cafe & had crab legs. alittle pricey but yummy!!! Will have pics later. Nice to be back. Oh a ?: Should we add on @ HH with a small contract (100 points) or add on to the one we have (25-50)?? Will probably try to do it after next trip. Thanks! PS: the weather was nice although overcast.

Sorry no one mentioned the bugs -- it usually comes up when someone talks about HH.

Not sure I fully understand your question about adding on? Can you please explain a little more?

Hi,

Sure, I'll try! We have a BCV contract now for 210 points. We talked about either adding 25-50 to that contract or getting a small HH contract say 100 points. What would you do? Does that help? I'm with you, can't wait to go back to HH either! When do you go? I'll be there from May 26th-29th.

Well, if you want HH, you will have to go the resale route, so it depends on what is available. I don't know how often contracts of 100 points become available, so you'd have to check that out.

If you think you will want to stay at HH during the peak summer season, you may want to get the HH points. It's possible, but more difficult to get in at 7 months, especially if you want a studio or 1BR.

I guess my advice would be to buy according to where you plan on vacationing and to what your budget permits!

BTW, I'm going for Thanksgiving and for NYE!

Welcome Back. Glad you had a good time... I certainly don't know of bugs. I haven't been to HH yet. Do I want to rethink this? Are we talking noseems? Like they have at Vero? And KeyWest? They bite and them little suckers hurt....
How did your mom like it? Was there lots to do?

We most have gotten lucky because we did not have a problem with the bugs in July. We went to two campfires - no problem!

No I would not rethink going to HH. Just be prepared!!! We loved it. We are going back in May for another 3 days. Its just a place to relax. Ride bikes, fish off the pier, read by the pool, swim, go to the beach house & spend some time @ the ocean. There are also daily resort activities. When are you planning to go to HH? I will be there from the 26th to 29th.

Were not going until next November. If we can get in at the 7 month time. Have our fingers crossed. We will be checking it out for a family reunion in 2005 in November. We are going the same time as the reunion will be so I can write everyone on how the weather is and activities.
I would love to buy a resale there but not in the cards financially now..
So glad you had a great time. We love to camp in the SC area so we will make it a combination trip. DH will hate it but I am going to check out a studio a couple of nights & 1bdr a couple of nights.
He hates to move. LOL

Not looking forward to those bugs though.... Them little suckers hurt.
