Boy was I totally surprised by this restaurant. This was my first time dining here, but probably not the last. I really don't know why I have never tried this place. He did not have a PS for this 6:00 dinner and we were seated right away.

I was hit right away from the the atmosphere. It was very nice to have live entertainment while you eat. You do have to sit at a long table with other people you don't know, but we did'nt mind.

Our server was fast friendly and really aware of us. Anything we needed he had right away for us. He seemed to be so happy to be there.

The buffet was also very good with a wide selection of salads, soup, schnitzel, sausage, and desserts. For once (just kidding) I did'nt pay for this meal, so I don't recall what bill was. But, for what we got $19.99 for a nice buffet is'nt to bad.

I totally agree my parents are from Germany so we have been avoiding it. We were amazed at how good it really was. In fact I hate to admit it but the sausages were better then what we can get here in Wisconsin. The downer was they only had Becks beer but I think that changed.

We love Germany too. It's always on our list to do although DH wasn't feeling to well last year when we were supposed to go so we skipped it and ate light that night. I have noticed that the food and menu has gotten better over the years. Years ago, all desserts were ordered seperately.

I have fond memories of the kids bouncing to the Oompa music!

It is nice to hear some good reviews about the Biergarten in Germany. We have a PS for dinner for a group of 10 ppl. None of us have ever eaten there before.
I was looking for a fun, upbeat place to dine with some fun entertainment and decent food. I hope its just as good for us as it was for you!
Have any of you ever dined at Japan?? Any Feedback, Thanks....princess:

Whoa, I think I had too much Franziskaner. I'm seeing double, no triple! :drinking1

My DH and I ate at the Biergarten in 1992 with my parents and we were very impressed then. Loved the live entertainment!!

We are looking forward to taking our two boys there for the first time. We are taking our chances though and not getting PS! I'm glad to hear it's still a fun place to dine - I can't imagine how they could have improved it! Thanks for the update!:hyper:

We went on a lark for a late lunch last trip. One of our traveling companions has traveled a lot in Germany - so we chose it for her. We enjoyed it a lot.

I'm not fond of buffets in general, but if I get over my buffet-o-phobia, the food on this one was very good. German food holds up well to chafing dishes.

Thanks for the review :) I've always wanted to go as well ... I'm not sure why we haven't yet. Maybe we'll try for an early dinner here on one of the nights we don't have a PS.

Thanks for the review! :D This is one of the places we're considering for the CP package, and since they start taking CP PS's on Thursday, this review was perfect timing for us!

We were also at the Biergarten, but on 8/28. I "second" the original poster's opinions. Our server was very helpful and nice, and also seemed happy to be there. The food was super; the atmosphere fun. We also had enjoyable tablemates.

I still can taste that yummy apple strudel! I should have had the second piece!:teeth:

Glad you enjoyed it. By any chance, did you get to try any of their "new" beers???

I did't because I am only twenty, but my father did. He had a Löwenbräu. I don't remember exactly but I think they also served it outside.

I'm glad I'm not the only one....I just never put a name to it. I'll be adding "buffet-o-phobia" to my vocabulary list! :)

eating there! Great food , super atmosphere and good entertainment. Some that are not from a German background or from an area with a sizable German community may have some questions but the staff/servers are always willing to help.

Enjoy!

We're eating there for our CP pkg. So happy to hear the great reviews! Can't believe in all our trips, we'd never considered Biergarten  Both DH and I have German "roots". Can't wait to see how DD11 likes the entertainment with her meal!!!

Thanks for the review! We really want to try this too. We've been to Austria a few times and always miss the food. I think we will definitely have to try it! Thanks again. ::yes::
