I'm back, and what I noticed in the parks vs what I read here

A lot of what Disney is doing is slowing down the line so that the real security can get a good look at everyone. It has long been said that most of their security we don't know about. Which is true of many places. If you know what security measures are in place, you can take steps to circumvent it.

They pick up the bag from the bottom to feel the weight of it, btw. And being inconsistent is the best thing to be.

Slow the line down, they do a great job of that.

Even my old, dumb TracFone has a clock display.

Are there any US plans left with roaming charges?

I used to do that in the good old days, and always found myself forgetting to turn it back on. So now I leave it on, and since I always charge it in the car, I only need to charge at home every other day at most. If calls were a problem, I'd silence it; the latest iOS has a do-not-disturb programmable setting (which I've never used).

I don't get the problem with fumbling for the phone. I always put it on he nightstand and never have trouble finding it.
Yes, it has a clock display but it does not always show up. Yes, I know welcome to 2016. My teens tell me daily. My year 2000 phone works for what I need it too. I can drop it off a building. (the ad back then), I have washed it in the machine. It still works.

I agree with you about the water temp at CSR pool. We too find it way too warm to be refreshing...we usually go in August.

Tell me y'all dont have a phone or watch at WDW...... Clock?
Many people don't wear a watch to bed, and many can't be read in the dark. I can also understand why people don't want to turn on bright lcd screens on their phones to see the time if they wake up in the middle of the night. It doesn't sound like it was a huge deal to the OP, just slightly inconvenient. It's nice to know you can still request a clock if you prefer one.

I travel every week and every hotel room I stay in has a clock as standard equipment.
Our last hotel room, in Toronto, didn't. It was a fancy hotel, too, in spite of the more annoying lack of a dresser.

Wow. Well I stay in the US. Of course, the clocks all have adapters to plug in phones. I'm with the camp who wants a clock. Not the alarm, I just want to know the time when I wake up in a different time zone/city. What I do appreciate is the amount of plugs in every room. Most of the bedside lamps have 2 plugs in the base.
