Well after going into hiding since I arrived back from my last visit back in October last year, I'm happy to say that I'm back here on the boards and starting to plan our 2012 vacation! :goodvibes

Here's the plan...

Arrive 31st October/1st November in Orlando
Stay offsite (probably on LBV, maybe onsite if OKW/SSR offer comes back) until 10th November
Travel to Port Canaveral to board the Disney Fantasy for a 7 night Caribbean cruise!
Fly home on the 17th

Admittedly we are visiting later in the year than we had hoped to, but we just can't save up enough in time go earlier. We normally visit the last two weeks of September so November will be new to us. Only thing that is concerning me is "Jersey Week" impacting our time in Orlando, anyone been this time of year who can tell me what the crowds are like?

EDIT: Just noticed, it's my 1000th post! :yay:

I don't know anything about Jersey week but I've been mid to end of November several times, it is a great month to go, it is still really warm and the crowds tend to be very low (apart from Thanksgiving).

Happy planning and happy 1000th post! :thumbsup2

Hi Simon, welcome back & enjoy your planning.
Happy 1,000th post.:goodvibes

A lot of long time Dissers returning after an absence :)

Happy planning

:goodvibes

See you there! We fly out on 29th.
Happy planning.:goodvibes

Crowds don't seem to bad for jersey week if you look on touringplans.com - not much busier than the previous week.

MVMCP will be starting.

Happy 1000th post :goodvibes

Thanks for the replies :goodvibes

Glad to hear Jersey week isn't too busy, we always use a touring plan to schedule our days.

Does anyone know what date the Osborne lights start this year? It's something I have never seen before and would love to go to it.

Welcome back. People never seem to stay away from these boards for long (even those who make a big grand exit find the lure of Disney planning to much to stay away from :goodvibes)

Looking forward to seeing your plans develop over the coming months :thumbsup2

Hopefully I will be putting the deposit down for our cruise tomorrow!

We are doing the 7 night Western Caribbean Cruise on the Fantasy, sailing 10th November! Cabin is no. 2520 (Cat 9B mid ship), I have read the deck 2 is a very good location so very happy.

We were on the Dream last year and loved every minute of it so we can't wait for this! :goodvibes

Welcome back! I'm another who has come back after a long gap...I don't know how I stayed away so long! lol

I was in Orlando from 9th - 23rd November last year, crowds were noticeably larger during Jersey week but not to an extent that it became a problem, you'll be fine with those dates.

Happy planning.
