jade is my name, diet is my game, i would come on here and try a new plan but i have a feeling this time is different, something change in me and the way i think im not doing this cause i need to look good im doing this so i can live the life i should be living...i have lost weight but dont know how much i need a scale.. but i know im down from a size 24(i have been that size forever) and im now at a 20/ 22 size.. im using some help from Alli , it seems to work for me, i need to stay away from the halloween candy... and drink more water thanks for your help... check back later

Hi! I'm in the same boat as you! I was on a roll, loosing about 25 pounds over several months. I've managed to keep that off, except for for a few pounds that come and go. I'm also in a size 20 and have been despite my 25 pound loss. Looking at pics from our recent DIsney trip I am sooo ready..

First I want to say Welcome and you will find lots of support here.

But.... your intro sentence concerns me. Being really frank, you need to get past being ON a diet and figure out how to make the life changes that will put you in charge! Remember, anything you get on you will eventually have to get off. You really need to find a means to your barometer - in this case a set of scales. It is the immediate measure of success, followed by sizes.

You do not mention ramping up output. One of the key pillars of permanent weight loss is understanding that there is a balance you must achieve, much like the three legs of a stool. You need to be controlling the in (nutrition), pumping up the metabolism (strength training) and working the pipes (cardio). Avoid any one and you may lose weight, but it is so precarious that the one small set back and you will lose balance and return to present state. I would suggest walking at a brisk - huffy puffy pace for 30 -45 minutes daily. Add some really simple strength work like squats, jumping jacks, shoulder presses (using a broom), etc. It will not take much weight at first to create great strides.

I do not mean to dissuade you in anyway, just want to say great start but take this opportunity to make a serious life changing commitment.
 
i need to get healthy that way i can be healthy... no more dieting for me i going to go healthy. instead of fried, im eating baked or grill like today at work i had a grilled chicken sandwich and a baked potato (im still not perfect i put a little ranch on the chicken and a dab of butter on the potato) instead of burgers and fries..i need to eat that way for me not because of looks but for my health .. i work fast food which is hard but getting easier i use to nibble on fries, nuggets and bacon but havent done it in the last four days i have worked, gum helps a lot. and i drink a diet coke and then i have water,, so on and so on. thanks for you all being here

You reminded me of one other thing.... Plan a bad day. Just like training for an event, etc take one day off, kind of. The bad day is not a let me gorge myself day, but it is a day where you do not kick your self if you mess up a little.
