I got back from Disney World last night. I'm a little late posting but I've been busy all day getting back to reality and all.

Well, for those of you that remember I was surprising my DD with this trip. It worked pretty good. She thought we were going to Memphis with her daddy because he had to go there for work. We even had the driver that took us to the airport that morning in on it. When he drove us to the gate he announced that it was the gate for Memphis. Then it was just our luck that we had to fly around a storm. The pilot announced that we were flying through Memphis. So to DD it all seemed like we were really going to Memphis. Well, when we got to Orlando she started looking around suspeciously. Finally I made a comment about how it looked like our plane missed Memphis and flew somewhere else. We drove past Epcot and to keep her from seeing it I gave her a BIG hug and covered her face :) Then I did it again as we drove under the Magic Kingdom sign. So we got to the Poly and ate and she still had no idea where we were although I'm pretty sure she knew we weren't in Memphis. By this time she had already seen the Monorail and asked us why Memphis had a Monorail like Disney World. So on the bus to MGM she decides that Memphis is kinda like Disney World. I tell her maybe its because we ARE at Disney World. When I said that she gave me this evil look as if to say, "don't trick me like that!" It actually took her a couple of days to finally believe that we were definatly at Disney World in Orlando Florida and not in Memphis.

DD rode ToT for the first time. She was all excited at first, and then we rode it. She said it was fun but it was too dark and scary. She also rode Space Mountain and said the same thing about that.

DS did good, but I think I'm going to wait until he's like 2 to take him back. We had to pack WAY to much stuff for him. He had fun though. When he was awake he kept his eyes WIDE open as if he was just taking it all in. At the Princess breakfast he was all smiles as all the Princesses came by to adore him. Snow White gave him a big kiss on the forehead and left lipstick marks on him.

I know all of you are wanting some pics, but DH has them on his lap top at work. I'll have them later though, I promise.

Welcome back! Glad to hear you all had a good time! It was so cute how you were able to surprise your daughter like that and how it took her a long time to realize where she really was! Very neat :)

Welcome back! Glad to hear you had such a good time, and that you were able to surprise your DD! :)

Well seeing as how I'm only 2 hours from Memphis and more like 13 hours from Orlando.....I WISH MEMPHIS WAS LIKE DISNEY WORLD...LOL!

I'm glad you all had a good time though!

Hee hee! That's so cute! :) We did something similar with our DS. We surprised him with a trip to DL when he was 8. Like your daughter, it took him awhile to realize where we were. After checking in to the hotel, we left our luggage in our room, and headed out the door to go to the park. His first realization that something was "up" was the monorail. He wanted to know what Disneyland's monorail was doing at his hotel. :p Unfortunately, he was a little upset with us for "tricking" him. :( I'm glad to hear all of your plans went off as scheduled and you had a good time. :)

Kama89, later in the day DD did say it would have been more fun if she knew about it. More fun for her maybe but not for us :)

That is a great story, Aurora, loved it. The magic is there. Glad you all had a great time. :sunny:

LOL, there is no way I'd be able to keep the secret. :)

Your trip sounds wonderful.

I guess they enjoy the anticipation of it as much as we do. :) I have to admit though, we had such a ball springing it on him. :teeth: I do think we learned our lesson though, and probably won't try it again anytime soon. He can be a pretty big grouch as it is, so don't want to push our luck. :)
