Okay so I ate too much this past summer and I found myself back at WW. I lost 25 lbs the last time but vowed not to diet on vacation. The problem is I vacationed in WDW for 3 weeks, the ocean for 1 week and then back to WDW for 2 weeks! That left more eating days then off days! So I went back to WW after regaining 16lbs. I also decided to join a gym too and made a total lifestyle change. So far I've lost 18lbs in 3 weeks! I eat all my points and work out 2 hours a day 6 days a week. Well, the lady from WW is giving me a hard time every week when I weigh in. The first week I lost 8 lbs. She was not happy. I always lose big the first week plus I'm burning 600 calories a day at the gym. She said that I better not lose that much the following week which of course I didn't. I lost 5 lbs the second week and 5 lbs the 3rd week. She told me that I was going to be in big trouble if I lost more then 2lbs next week! I am already done 2lbs and am looking at least a 4 lb weightloss next week. I have told her that I am eating all my points but that I am also working out 6 days a week now but she doesn't care. I asked her if I was going to get to eat more points next week if I lost a lot and she said no. I asked if I was going to be told not to exercise as much if I lost more then 2lb and she said no. She said that I would need a doctors note stating that it was okay for me to lose this weight like I am before I'm allowed to continue with WW. I think this is ridiculous. If I am made to do this then I am going to ask for a refund from the 10 weeks of WW I bought in advance. Honestly it seems that they just want to keep you fat. I was told that I shouldn't lose anymore then 1 to 1 1/2 lb a week. I cannot imagine losing that little bit of weight when I am working out so much. I really love going to the gym now and I makes me feel so much better about myself. What would you do? Stick with going to the WW meetings or just tell them to stick WW! LOL!

Can they really keep you from the meetings for losing too much? I don't think you'll have to worry too much because a 5 lb weight loss is hard to keep up, so your weight loss will taper to an amount that the WW leader will find more acceptable. It sounds like you enjoy going to the meetings, so I wouldn't quit altogether. I would just go to the next meeting and weigh in and see what it is. It may be 2 lbs (which I think is great, especially if you have already lost 5+ each week for 3 weeks). Maybe you can go at a different time so you can get a different meeting leader?

How many points do you get per day? I am counting calories - shooting for 1350 a day which I think is about 27 ww points, but I'm not sure. I figured once it is 50 calories a point.

Have you tried spinning? I like it but when you start the bicycle seat kills your bottom, until you get used to it.

Did you see Kirstie Alley on Oprah today? She was in a bikini after losing 75 lbs. It is very noticable that she was trying to cover up her backside, and seemed to be a bit uncomfortable. She held onto that cover up for dear life. But good for her for losing so much. She looks awesome at 50+ especially, but for any age!

I am not getting a hard time from the leader. The lady that weighs me in prior to the meeting is giving me a hard time. She wants me to lose 2lbs or less this week or I will need a doctors note. I'm already up to over 2lbs loss so far and I have 3 days to go. I have been losing 1/2 lb a day. I get 22 points a day and usually use most of them. Some days I have 3 or so left over that I don't use. I get full from eating all the free veggies so I can't finish my points some days. When I'm at the gym I do 45 minutes on an eliptical, 40 minutes on a recumbant bike and another 45 minutes of weight training. My personal trainer has me doing legs one day and arms the next. I work on my abs every day. I do this routine 6 days a week and it has been really fun. I watch those people spin but it hurts my knees just looking at them! LOL! My knees aren't in that great of shape and spinning might not be a good idea for me. I missed Kirsty today but would have loved to see her in her bikini! She must be very proud!

Well, I would just go to the next meeting and see what she says, or try to go to a different meeting then you have no worries if there is a different person weighing in.

You must not have that much more to lose. Do you think you will be able to keep this up long term? Do you get bored on the elliptical for all that time? You will be one person who will NOT have to make a new years resolution to lose weight! You got a great head start!

I still want to lose another 20lbs. I have really kicked it into gear because I'm going to Vegas next week with DH for our 20th anniversary. I will probably cut back to the gym to 5 days a week when we get back. So far I love working out. I have 2 friends that go with me all the times so I am always talking to someone and keeping busy. One thing this gym has is a CardioCinema. We watch a movie every day in the dark while on the bikes and elipticals. Yesterday it was Elf and today it was Others. It really makes the time fly!

Wow - cardiocinema -- that's high end! We have tvs we can plug into.

Well, you are my hero for losing over 15 lbs in 3 weeks. Many people say it can't be done. You prove this wrong. I did lose 15 lbs in 3 weeks once but I was in jr high.

Any tricks to quell late night eating? I use tea or low carb hot chocolate. It does work. I also confess to taking a unisom every now and then to go to bed, since if I have an empty stomach I sometimes have a hard time going to sleep.

Congratulations on your weight loss. If you enjoy WW, I would go this week and discuss it with your leader if the person weighing you in says you can't come back. I think it says "reccommended weight loss .5-2 pounds a week after the first 3 weeks. Weight loss is always more rapid in the beginning.
Good Luck.

The CardioCinema is at the Golds Gym. I am paying per month $60 because I am joining a new gym that is opening next month. The new gym is only 3 miles from my house. It doesn't have the cinema but will have the individual TVs. I will miss my movies though! My secret to nighttime hunger is to sleep too! LOL! I do make sure to eat dinner and then almost immediately after I eat dessert. That way I have time to work off the dessert before bedtime. I am finished eating for the day by 6pm. When I get hungry at night I drink a cold glass of water with two teaspoons of Fiber in it. That fills me up and keeps me from starving til morning! That stuff is great for reducing two point yogurt down to one point too. I don't like any of the WW products so I have been able to enjoy the better yogurts by adding that fiber which is tasteless. I make it a point to find the best use of points in all foods that I like too. I choose one or two foods a week and then go to the grocery and calculate all the food in that group til I find the lowest points and highest amount. I wanted honey wheat pretzel braids last week so I calculated every bag of those til I was happy with the one that was the best. It was the Utz Select Honey Wheat Braids. They are only 2 points for 9 of those! I also did this with the hot chocolate and found the Swiss Miss sugar free to be the best. As you can see I have way too much time on my hands! LOL!

Thanks. I will discuss it with the leader when I go there this Friday. I am really hoping for a final week of a loss of 4lb. After that when I return from Vegas I will shoot for 2lb by going to the gym less.

Please tell me what brand of fiber you use -- I want to get it. It's a great idea! My 3 year old could use it tonight - she held her #2 yesterday because she spent the night at my mil's house and doesn't like to go anywhere but at home, now she's having a hard time going! Sorry about too much information! LOL!

Thanks for the tips!

Oh, Daisy, I forgot to ask: how many sizes have you gone down with all of those pounds you have lost?

Also, even though I count calories instead of points, do you think I could benefit from WW meetings, or do you think I'd be lost with all of that points talk?

I use Benefiber. It really doesn't have effect on me in that way though. I guess if I wasn't getting the huge amount of fiber in my veggies then it might. Plus I'm only using what amounts to 3 grams of fiber a day. They recommend no more then 9 grams a day but I'm way under that. I have gone down almost 3 sizes. I like WW not because of the meetings but because I have to weigh in each week. It gives me something to shoot for. If I didn't weigh in then I would just put off the weightloss totally. I rarely if ever stay for a meeting anymore and they are just too boring for me. It is the weigh in that I need.
