We're here at VWL, just spent our second night out of six before we move over to SSR for another 6 nts.
I am completely astonished by this resort. It is breathtakingingly beautiful. I asked for top floor non smoking full balcony and every request was met, I checked in on Sunday the 15th at around noon. I can't get the images uploaded yet but as soon as my husband does that I'll post the view from our balcony, it is just amazing. We can see the high Wishes fireworks over the top of the main lodge and we can see the water light parade through the trees pretty well.
So far we have only had one park day, we spent the first day going to the pool here and then we went over to Ft Wilderness where my son rode the ponies and we ate dinner at Trail's End. Yesterday was our first park day, we first had breakfast at Chef Mickey's (fun but I won't do it again), then we went to MK. We only rode a few rides then we came back to the resort to go in the pool again. Last night we went to Epcot, but didn't stay until closing, the kids were getting restless. Today we plan to go to Epcot this am and maybe MK in the pm, not sure yet. We have found that we are really taking things easy this trip, surprisingly this is not bothering us! I recall many people here saying that once they bought DVC they quit worrying so much about seeing everything since they knew they'd be back soon, that's the way it is working out for us too. We are just enjoying ourselves so much, and really relaxing, which I haven't ever really done on a Disney trip.
I really can't put into words how beautiful I find this resort to be. I though being from the northwest that I wouldn't be too impressed with the theming, but boy was I wrong. It is simply amazing, I really can't say it enough. I love it!
We're not going to get internet everyday but next week when I'm at SSR I'll post again about how that went.
