I'm at VWL!

Thanks for the report. I too understand what you're saying about this resort. Everytime I stay at WL or VWL I fall in love with the place even more... if that's possible.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Thanks for the pics. Reminded me all over again why we love VWL. When it came time to buy a resale, we ended up going fof VWL.

It is different from the other resorts, while they're all great, for us they just don't have the feeling that VWL gives us, that being away from it all peaceful feeling while just being a short boat ride away from MK and the world.

We VWL owner seem to be a small minority, but we love our lodge!

What a great view. One of a few good ones. Thanks for posting the pictures. If you read this before you leave the lodge, can you give us any info about the Roaring Forks rehab. I've seen a couple people post that it is to reopen March 8th, which would be good, since we don't arrive until the 18th. Have a great trip.

Roaring Forks is closed, but they have a little tiny snack shop where the seating area was (I think, I've never been there before this trip but the arrow says "seating" where the shop is. It has pizza/hotdogs for lunch, premade sandwiches, fruit cups, pop, coffee, pastries, yogurt, chips, I'm sure I'm missing something... I do know that there is no place to do refillable mugs during the rehab, the cashier specifically stated that very clearly. It is enough for me for a quick bite but I wouldn't count on it for any real meals unless you eat pretty lite. :)

Do you put in your room requests before arriving or when you check in?

Before arriving, when making the reservation. It is a one bedroom unit (dedicated but that wasn't a specific request). I asked for non smoking first, then all I said was that I needed an upper floor because I have a toddler and I didn't want her running off if the slider was opened - the MS CM interpreted that to mean "top floor full balcony" which is what my confirmations state.

I was just going to say it looks likes 5533. We stayed in that room recently, and absolutely loved it. I'm so jealous!

I'm reading this to my husband and he says, "you guys are freaking me out" LOL :rotfl2:

Thanks for the pics! Now I'm homesick :sad1:

Ahhhh, what a peaceful, relaxing place it is.

Have Fun!

I've had a studio below this one that had no balcony. Thanks for the info on RF. It looks like the projected opening is Mar. 8th. We don't arrive until the 18th, so hopefully it won't be an issue for us!

It really funny how small the world feels you are on these boards sometimes!
Anyway, as soon as I saw that balcony, I knew you were in the same room we stayed in. That balcony was so nice, and it was great to sneak out there when the MK fireworks were going off. It was an extra piece of magic each evening.

I thought all the rooms had a balcony why doesn't this one?

Room 4533 is a studio without a balcony. It is the only one that doesn't have one. It was just a design flaw. It's not so bad if you end up with the 2 bedroom that includes this studio because there is a balcony in the living room, and in the Master Bedroom. All the other floors start with a 1 bedroom going down that hall, but not the 4th floor. I really think it was just a mix up, but by the time they realized it, it was too late to fix it.
