I'm at the Disneyland Hotel!

My first trip to Disneyland was in 1957. This year I'm finally going to be staying at the Disneyland Hotel. I have many friends who have stayed there and they always say that there's so much stuff to see and do at the Hotel that's it's hardly necessary to go to Disneyland! I was interested in anything someone has to say about the hotel. Also, have the changes with Disney California and Downtown Disney affected the Disneyland Hotel much? I was told that the Oriental Gardens section/tower, whatever it is, was the best to stay in. Any info/opinions about that?

Are you in a concierge room? We are staying at the DL Hotel next Jan on DVC points and your room sounds great. I would love to know what catagory you are staing in so I can ask for that area. Thanks

Does anyone know what time check in is? and if they have a trick or treat street for halloween? pirate:

I'm not Mary Jo but I will tell ya if you request Sierra tower you can get a view overlooking DTD and see Paradise Pier from your room and also watch the fireworks! We've stayed in Bonita and Sierra Towers. The rooms are great in both, but we loved watching the fireworks from our room in Sierra Tower. Also, the Concerige Lounge is in Sierra Tower.

Mary Jo, sounds like you're havng a wonderful stay!!! The margaritas at Lost bar are delish! :rotfl:

I wish we were there with you! I LOVE that hotel! Our last time there we were facing Downtown Disney, it was wonderful!!! :earboy2:

Please be sure to ride Indian Jones for me at least :bounce: once!!! :rotfl:

Hi everyone,

It seems that people are more excited about this hotel than the GC.
Given we plan to visit in October is the DLH better set up for kids??

Cheers,

Vel.

Pirates no longer offers Fastpass. It is completely gone form there. There is still one at Haunted Mansion, but I believe it is only used during the holiday makeover.

I also think that the water show is either closed or already gone for good.

Have fun and be sure to eat at Whitewater Snacks!
