I'm at a cross roads

I'm not at the point of not riding yet; I love all the ride, but there is nothing like walking down main street and just taking in all the sights, smells and sounds, that is my Disney. There are many thrill ride parks, Disney is not that for me, its the total package of entertainment for the family, and I truly think this is why Disney is so happening. Something for everyone to enjoy no matter what your age.

I'm getting to the point where i will be at the same crossroads in a sense. Spinning rides have been out for a long time now, but i was always a roller coaster and non-spinning thrill ride fanatic. RNRC was the first coaster that ever made me sick, and after several times on ToT that one now gets to me too. But it's forced me to start looking for other types of entertainment at the parks and I was flat-out in awe of some of the "hidden" entertainment at Disney that so many people just pass by. The one thing that sticks out most is the street performers in MGM. They are SOOOO FUNNY!!! IMHO the parks will still be well worth going to, and you'll probably just find that while the thrills have changes, they're still there. :)

As you age, the hairs in the cochlea of the middle ear respond slower when you spin and go upside down. They help you keep your equillibrium and with the slower response you get the resulting queasiness and motion sickness.

I can't get on thrill rides either, but I enjoy WDW very much.

Part of me worries that the amusement park industry is going to lock out people like us. The rides are getting so much bigger and faster, that I wonder if there will be anything left for me/us to ride. I just hope that they do realize that we are the ones with money, and the timeshares (I don't have one YET) - so that we are not stuck with a bunch of boat rides or circle rides. :guilty:

The only 2 times I have been to WDW as an adult, I have been pregnant. I am 43 and have waited a long tme for my upcoming non-pregnant trip. I hope to give every ride (except MS) at least one try this trip so please wish me luck! If you see a middle aged woman looking kind of green during the week of Sept. 23-30, please don't laugh. :)
