the 2011 point system very strange. I understand that they've weighted the weekdays higher...understandable (although I miss the old system...I could really work that one!). And I realize, in theory, that the annual points allocated to a certain resort stay the same. But, we usually go in the summer around June/July. At different times I've found different resorts to be MUCH "cheaper". For a while it was OKW, then it was SSR, now I find to my surprise that it's AKL. We love AKL, but I was shocked to see how much we would save staying there even over OKW (which we love).

Thankfully, I'm the type of person who loves to try different resorts and is willing to go where she can get the beat deal point-wise. AKL here we come!!! (If I can get the availability....)

I've never had trouble getting AKV at the 7 month mark or well after for that matter but I always book 2 bd's. I generally stay between OKW-BWV-AKV-SSR but really any resort will do! It's Disney and I'm not picky!

As far as the point reallocation, actually the 2 of them back to back, not real happy about them but I have enough points to make it work anyway!

We also book 2 bd's. I just can't believe the difference of over 100 points for resorts that I feel are very similar in amenities! For example, when I compare the following, I'm flabbergasted. I understand that views, location, transportation, etc. come into play, but is it really worth it?? Honestly, the one that gets me the most is SSR. We thought it was nice, but not any nicer than any of the others. Being closer to DTD is nice, but....

Anyway, just my .02

I'm someone who wonders why they charge the same number of points for a 1 or 2 bedroom standard or savannah in Jambo and in Kidani, since they are not the same sort of villas, specifically comparing the bathrooms.

There are so few value 2 bedrooms, I'm guessing you're lucky if you can get one at 7 months. I booked one for myself and some DGF's for September '11 right at the 11 month mark. At most there are 10 (I think), and fewer if some are booked as 1 bedroom and studios.

Well, bobbiwoz, you could be right about that. I may be screwed in not being able to get a value 2 bd. I've been lucky before, but that's not saying anything.

I hope you get one! Not everyone likes that fact that they are smaller, and you could get a parking lot view. If you want one, here's hoping you get it!

Agreed SSR should be in line with OKW and should be less than BWV. ..... .
