Okay, in our defense, the payroll bucket difference between the Sox and Yankees is something like 30 to 60 MILLION dollars. If we had that $$ and had one more great pitcher and one more great hitter, the Sox would be unstoppable. Face it the Yankees ARE the best team MONEY can buy.

That said, we also have a Catch-22. If the Sox DID win the World Series, the It's Time To Build A New Fenway Park talk would start. And that would kill me. But, without more seats and more $$, the Sox will never have that huge payroll, thus never affording that extra great pitcher and power hitter....
