I'm an addict!

O.K. if you want to get her hooked then just offer her a comfortable place to sit and then play a few dining reviews for her. The first one that comes to mind is a review that Kevin gave of a Disney restaurant, his worst experience in one, and Pete made the comment that if the manger did a certain something to him, he would be pulling back a bloody stump.
Here is the link http://www.wdwinfo.com/podcast/roundtable104-082008.mp3
The review starts at about time stamp 1:00:00 and is for the Captains Grill in the Yacht Club Resort.
The review before this one is for Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge and is a good review for that restaurant.
Another good one is regarding the Coral Reef restaurant from way back in 2006, featuring the "Sad Little Crab Cake".
Link to that show is http://www.wdwinfo.com/podcast/roundtable3-080806.mp3
The review starts at 0:15:00, and the link to the pic of the crabcake is http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-podcast/8-8_photos.htm (although it is no longer available)
DH was a podcast listener for about 6 months before I became a listener, fan, and worshipper of the podcast when I started listening to Kevin's dining reviews I was hooked. I have come a long way in one year.
I have listened to every podcast in the archives, and as you can see by my post count, I like to have my say. :rotfl2::lmao:
My DH had tried to get me to read the boards and listen to the podcast.
I couldn't get what was so great. Then Kevin's dining reviews changed my life.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
I love that they give you their experiences straight up.:thumbsup2
Keep us posted and let me know how things go! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the suggestions and the links. I think that while my DW is hostage on the drive down to Florida this June I'll just plug the iPod in and play some shows for her. Just hearing about Disney on the way down ought to be enough to get her excited. I know what you mean about Kevin's restaurant reviews. I know it's not really funny, but when the experiences go. . . how shall we say? awry? . . . they are hilarious. Kevin's sarcastic comments just make me laugh out loud . . . while I'm driving. . . so I scare other motorists! :scared1:

:welcome: irun and Anjie!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

 :yay: :dance3: Thanks!!!! This part of the board already feels different than some of the other sections. Is it just me or can you get your head taken CLEAN off in some of these other places?!?

The punishment here is much worse.

They make you decide between cake and pie.

And if you bring up brownies....you're on your own. You dont want to die on that hill.

Kevin, are any of the podcast crew coffee lovers? I'd like to work up a care package with something maybe a little bit different.

BTW, HOW does one decide between cake and pie. . . isn't the correct answer "Yes" when they ask "Do you want cake or pie?"

Agreed. I used to frequent other boards that shall remain nameless, but now I only go on this one. I'll go back someday, but sometimes it takes too much mental energy.

By the way, your thread just lit the fire of inspiration in me. Lucky I didn't have hairspray this time. :rotfl:

Welcome to the board!!

Thank you so much, I love your tag it is so fancy!
I was so happy to find the podcast board. After coming home from our trip and missing Disney, I still wanted to stay on the boards but where?
The driven people over at the Theme Park strategies board is like trying to talk to marathon runners when you are a couch potato.
Resorts is nice but not too engaging when a trip isn't in the works.
The Community board is just scary, I venture over every once in a while and usually run home with my tail between my legs.
I love the Restaurant reviews and Trip reports are fun but they move really slow.
I love how the Podcast board is a bit of everything but not controversial, kinda like the Canadian board!
