Ok, so I've got a problem. I'm addicted to the DIS Unplugged Podcasts. It's like a need. If I'm not listening to Pete, Kevin, John and crew talking roundtable, I get a very unhappy feeling! It was like an epiphany the day that I downloaded the first podcast. I said to myself "How have I been subsiding without all of this?" I'm guessing that my story is not unique. I downloaded the first podcast and listened to it and then went back and downloaded all the others. I've been listening to them backwards now. I think I'm somewhere back in February now.
I don't know if Pete and the crew actually check in on these threads or not. I've not been actively posting on the DIS but for a little over a month now. However, in case the podcast crew is reading this, you guys are HIL-LARRY-US! No, really! When I listen to the show, I feel like I'm sitting in a diner, not a knock-off diner, either. . . I mean a REALLY GOOD DINER - and we're all gathered in a booth drinking coffee. You ALL have a knack of making us, the total stranger out there in cyberspace, feel like a part of a close knit group of friends. I can not thank all of you enough for making my hour and fifteen minute commute to and from work a pleasure. There have been moments on the show where I've laughed out loud so hard that I was literally wiping tears from my eyes. I also appreciate your understanding that there are younger ears listening to the show, too. I have no reservations about letting my son listen in on the podcasts. There are some moments where adult humor is hinted at and everybody that's the appropriate age will "get it" and I think it's brilliant.
As if all that entertainment isn't enough, the shows provide a wealth of information about Disney World, Disneyland and other attractions in Orlando. I appreciate your HONEST look at things Disney and other companies are doing. In other words, I'm glad you all aren't simply fanboys and fangirls. Which, by the way, when Pete went off on the D-23 debacle, I thought I was going to wreck my car! I must admit, before I ever knew of the DIS Unplugged podcast, I'd looked at that and thought "What a rip off!" So, Pete's appraisal of the "club" was right on the money, in my opinion.
Anyhow, I just wanted to say "Hi!" to everybody in the Podcast crew and the Podcast community!
Keep up the excellent show and "Thank you!" for the DIS boards!
