I'm already packing the necessaties!!

I've been counting since 120 days and packing almost as long.

I've never given much thought to myself as an A-type or B-type personality but I might be going a little overboard here (with excitement)

I have this bowling-ball size travel bag ( what used to be a carry-on) and in it right now are :

14oz each Shampoo/Conditioner for myself and DD to use
1 bar of Aveeno Facial Soap and a plastic soap container to stick on the wall
2 Banana Boat Sun Screens 30 spf 1 lotion, 1 spray
Band Aids
a dozen or so hand sanitizer packets (need more)
a Bath and Body antibacterial soap dispenser for the sink ($1.50 at our BBW warehouse store) (who wants to wash their hands with those little bars?)
a couple of 8 serving Coffee packets ( variety of flavors) I want some decent coffee in my room at least some of the time:surfweb:
some Swiss Miss cocoa packets to go into my coffee- I don't do cream or sugar
3 cans of shaving cream for myself and DD
4 3-blade razors for smooth shaving LOL!!
new toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste
a book- TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD Yes I'm going to have some relaxation time!! :beach:
a small collapsible umbrella- great sunshields for extra sunny days
3 ponchos- I personally will not wrap myself up in saran wrap in AUG but I have them
1 box of Crystal light packets for water (non-bottled)
Neosporin spray ( that new little key-chain looking thing)
Excedrin Extra Strength 48 ct.:headache:
Q-tips

This thing is stuffed and heavy and its going to take up alot of space in my luggage but I have to have all of it!! and that's not all of it- I still have to remember the ice pack ( tension headaches) my cell phone charger, make-up(at least some) perfume travel-size samples, Clorox Wipes

AND MORE:thumbsup2 LESS THAN TWO WEEKS TO GO:cheer2:

AND MORE:

10 really shiny PENNIES- I love those pressed penny machines and 10 will be a start
VISINE
SINGLE SIZE TIDE DETERGENT( FOUND IT AT WALMART) I was going to go to the laundromat and get it ahead of time
5 HANGERS good for hanging something damp / there are never enough in the room
THE ADDRESSES OF A FEW FRIENDS TO SEND POSTCARDS TOO.
STAMPS
documents for the wallet: insurance card (med and car), AAA card ,Driv Lic

Well thanks for the lists. We leave in 32 hours and have not packed. I have picked up a few things but for the most part will do it all tomorrow night. After I work all day at my regular job then volunteer at the local AMC dinner tomorrow night at the fairgrounds. Not sure how much sleep I will get but my 18 yr DD can drive to the airport while I sleep. getting excited

14 oz each of shampoo and conditioner plus 3 cans of shaving cream! Wow! Are guys related to Rapunzel or the Country Bears?

Any medications that you use regularly, whether prescription or OTC, can be packed now too.

We love to pack some things as early as possible. Clothes are picked out early and hung in a spare closet. Then washed before going on vacation. (who hates packed looking clothes on vacation:rolleyes1:rotfl:) Get the items you want to pack on a list so you know what you have or need. How many times have you "forgot" something(batteries, memory card, sun screen) The next trip we go on, we will be using The Purple Box:woohoo: How many times have you left things behind at the end of a vacation?:sad2::headache:

To make the drive down a little less crowded(we always over pack:lmao:), you could once you get to the WDW area, stop at a local store and pick up those items. Less stuff to pack right?:confused3. It's usually the stuff you would leave if flying:rotfl2:. I've had friends drive on vacation and pack the trunk full of extra stuff and if they left some at home so it could be P/U when you get down there. Or even get the items delivered by local company's.

Just ideas used in the past that have made trips a little easier.

I love you guys so much. I started packing a month and a half ago, and . .. I have a month and a half left to go. Go me!!! DH has never been, and doesn't understand, but he DOES understand that he's going to love Disney if our marriage is going to survive! We're going for our one year anniversary ourselves =)

So, my contributions - Ditto on the Mickey bandaids from Target!! SO CUTE. I had to reach in the back to find the last box, apparently they've been flying off the shelves. Also essentially in my purse are the Wisps! DH didn't understand their importance either until the day we were served corn on the cob at a restaurant, and you can believe he loves them after that! Moleskine and

Also useful: a semi-hard, waterproof case for my camera to keep water from splashing on it during rides, a disposable cup to hold my toothbrushes in the bathroom, and moisturizing facial wipes because I don't feel like carting an expanse of beauty products in the suitcase.

One question - for those of you taking in huge products in a carry-on - you are driving correct? Or is there an appropriate way around the TSA 3 oz requirement? I want to bring more shampoo too!

Sorry, no packing tips here. It's just when I read the title, I started singing 'The Bare Necessities' in my head. :rotfl: I hope you all have a safe trip down and don't forget anything. And if you do - you could always run into Walmart or whatever store. I know, you may not want to spend the extra cash to get something when you have it at home but hey sometimes we all forget a thing or two. :goodvibes

I'm going to have this to our happy dance board. Enjoy your trip.

Wow you are prepared. We leave in a week and I've started packing in my head, might get out the suitcases tonight and start putting in things we won't need till we leave. Definately going by walmart tonight to restock our travel sized supplies (we do carry on's only).

I know! It does sound ridiculous;) But My DD has long hair and I'm planning on 2 showers everyday for 8 nights. If we get to take the hotel provided samples home great, but my Sister isn't bringing a "bottle" of anything so I think 3 chicks will use it up!!! Shaving cream, too!!!:lmao:

I have to admit that I cracked myself up with that line. :lmao: You seem like a good sport, and I thank you for that. I'm wishing you and yours a wonderful vacation. :tinker:

What do you need to pack fabric softener for?

I will be renting a stroller on my trip and do not want to carry a heavy bag full of stuff on rides. If I leave a bag with my stroller what are the chances of it getting stolen?

I have a month until my vacation and I've already started my packing list. It's never too early to prepare! :lmao:

ive got 36 days but ive already hit up target for all my basic travel necessities! :goodvibes its never too early to start getting prepared! plus its half the fun! i love packing! :lovestruc

I have been packing since June and we don't leave until Sept. I will always purchase an extra something at the store and throw it in the "Disney Bag". It may be an extra deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, wipes, etc;. It keeps from having to go and buy a lot of stuff at the last minute.

We drive so I also purchase gift cards for restaurants along the way early too. Usually a Cracker Barrel gift card and an Applebees gift card. That away our meals are paid for on the way as well as the DDP when we get there.
