I'm all poufed up!

But not ready to go yet--still have to put on my make-up and change. I got my hair cut this afternoon and had it styled and sprayed to the max. I've got helmet hair at the moment. The stylist promised it would "de-pouf" by the time we get to the party.

DH and I are going to his company's annual holiday party tonight. It takes place at a fabulous Portuguese restaurant in Newark. We're taking a car service there and back, so we can indulge in their spectacular sangria.

It is nice to get dressed up. I'm wearing black slacks and a gold jacket with a sequined insert along with fancy chandelier earrings. I was thinking about buying a pair of cheap gold ballet flats, but my feet are so sensitive nowadays. Can't do cheap shoes anymore.

And this is the best sangria I've ever had. They keep the pitcher full at your table. The food is awesome too. Cocktail hour is a buffet with tons of seafood dishes. I can hardly wait to get a dish of shrimp and garlic.
