They also have the two level buses for the more popular route.

I know about the Megabus crash in upstate NY but, while tragic, accidents happen. Even accidents that are caused by negligence of the driver. There have been airplane crashed due to no more than pilot error but I still fly. Looking at the statistics I would still use a Megabus if the situation called for it even though they have had a tragic accident.

Of course if that accident is enough to keep you from using it by all means don't.

We have Megabus from D.C. to NYC. Used it twice. Clean and cheap, no issues.

I so want to take one of these...but I am coming from Raleigh Durham and I want to go to western mass/ct and my only option would be Durham to DC to NY to Mass/Ct (a few options)...and while not too bad I would also be travelling with a 4 year old...and each leg is about $30...so round trip it would be $180ish...yeah I'll throw in another 100 and fly...

DS15 is on the Megabus right now coming back from visiting his dad. The bus left 20 minutes past departure time.

There was a tornado warning issued for an area they were going to drive through (I'm in a total panic!), and DS texted me to say the the bus driver made a rest area stop and had everyone go inside the rest area to wait out the storm. I'm thrilled that even though they were behind schedule the driver was aware enough of their safety to pull over, even for just a "radar indicated" storm and not an actual touchdown.
