Hello! We (me, hubby 2 boys 6,8) live right outside Phoenix Arizona. I was in France in 1986 but don't remember much other than the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, and a neat hotel we stayed at in Tours that had beds that folded out of the walls! I know you will find many helpful people that are lovers of Disney just like you! WELCOME TO THE DIS!!

I am from Europe as well
I live in Amsterdam, so that's not so far away from you. WDW is much further away.
Disneyland Resort Paris is one of my favorite places to visit without taking a plane. And I have been there many many times since it opened. I have even been to the opening of the Disney MGMpark a few years ago.

The name of Mickey mouse in France is simply Mickey(MIckey mouse or mickey la sourie)
But The rest of the characters change the name in France
for exemple:
-uncle scrooge is oncle picsou
-Goofy is Dingo
-Fewie;Dowie;louie(sorry for my errors)was RIRI;FIFI;LOULOU
Chip &dale was TIC & TAC.....
Minnie;Donald;Daisy don't change.

Bonjour Tierry. Nice to have you on the Dis. I took french in college, but that was 15 years ago so I won't try to spell to much en francais. I am also from North Alabama, and would someday love to visit France, but I don't know if I will ever make it because I spend all of my money in Disney World. I guess I will have to settle for visiting France in Epcot for now. Au revoir.

Welcome Thierry! I did visit France once in 1967--remember the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and a tour with landmarks illuminated at night. Most recently it's been France at Epcot--we had lunch there in April 04. I also make all my friends see the French film. I live in a very rural part of Connecticut with lots of dairy cows. That's in New England, about an hour and a half from Boston.
