hi all,
so if you all remember my post a couple of weeks ago,about being accepted into the fdny's top advanced training program.this is a haz-mat,terrorist,bio-logical and weapons of mass destruction top training class.today is the second of last day and today and thursday is testing day.i know guys who try thier whole career to get into this training class and never make it in.this is my second time in,my first i had to drop out 2 years ago cause ds age 3 at that time was hospitalized,and well family comes before work.many said that they knew of guys who were trying to get in for years with no sucess.when i got accepted my second time,i had many in the fire dept shocked including myself.the next 2 days is all testing.I'm feel like i'm taking my S.A.T.'s all over again.they say these test have a 50 % failure rate.and if you do fail there is no second chance that's it,you get kicked out.you'll still keep your employment with the FDNY,just not with these awesome certifcations under your belt.i gotta be honest i have been a nervous wreck all day yesterday and now it's 4:30 am and i very nervous and have to get ready for work and go to the FDNY academy.i feel like it's the first day of high school or i'm going on my first date ever.well that's it i gotta go take a shower and leave,please wish me luck.i still can't believe how nervous i am.
