We're coming down on Wednesday. The weather forecast says the highs for just about each day we're there is high of 60, low of 37. Our bags are packed and we thought we were good to go, are you townies wearing shorts these days?? I guess I need to bring a warmer sweatshirt than I have packed. Does anyone know what the local weather channel is that Kathy suggests looking at?

Thanks!!!

and, it's snowing - again...

I cant speak for most townies, but I can speak for John and I.

We would have to have snow up to armpits to wear long pants. We live in shorts.

That being said....the majority of people you see out and about are dressed in long pants.

It's bright and sunny today which warms things up, but it will get pretty chilly at night. We're talking high 30's.

If I were you.....I'd make sure that you either bring a pair of sweats for the evening hours or plan on a Disney pair as a momento of your trip.;)

I usually look at www.wesh.com or www.wftv.com. They are both local stations.

The other thing I would suggest is that you bring or stop at Walmart and buy a hat and a pair of cheap gloves.

Watching Illuminations, Wishes, Spectromagic etc are going to be more enjoyable if you arent all huddled together trying to stay warm.

Hope that helps.

I am wearing long pants. Also gave up the flip flops for a few weeks.

Hoodies are my friend. :)

Thanks Kevin and Kathy,
Those are exactly the details we needed. Time to re-pack. Oh well, Greg and I will be sitting on our balcony in our flannel pjs and our fuzzy slippers watching the animals at Kidani. Thanks!!!

I haven't worn shorts since probably last November. This winter has been colder than normal. So often I see people in the parks or at DTD, especially at night, wearing short sleeve shirt and shorts and arms crossed trying to stay warm.

Depends on how warm blooded you are. I know a couple of UPS drivers up north that wear shorts almost year round.

Better safe than sorry. Pack some warmer clothes.

Thanks! I can see how that would happen, if I didn't happen to check the weather, and then check with my friends here - my suitcase would have shorts, t-shirts and just a light sweater. I'm glad I asked y'all!!

I should have said this before but I didnt.

Even though I'm wearing shorts....I usually have a hooded sweatshirt on.

Also.....we always have two polar fleece jackets in the car....summer ...winter...doesnt matter.

Even in the summer the AC can surprise you.

Hope you both have a great time Lois!
No matter how cold it gets at least you'll be in one of the best places on Earth!

Never mind the temp, has it been SUNNY? :sunny: That is what I am craving most right now! I can handle temps in the 50s and 60s, but if it is cloudy I'm not going to be happy. LOL

Thanks Gav! and yes, as long as that sky is blue - I'll be a happy camper!!!
Right about this time tomorrow, we should be getting our first view of Kidani:cool1:

Kevin...

I got 6 inches here upstate and i STILL had to go put on long pants... (I was in shorts until Jay came to snowblow my driveway...)
