I didnt get to this yesterday but I'm here now. Photos will be posted later and they will be pretty much explainatory.
I'm going to be a bit of a critic here so that if anyone else has ever thought of going to Vegas they can have mu opinion just for letting me ramble!:rotfl:

Dh got a package with USAIR which was the hotel and air for around 500 which isnt too bad. We like to stay at the different hotels and we plan on working ourselves through the biggies. I asked him if people who are into food are called Foodies, does that make us Hollies or Tellies?:rotfl:
We stayed at the Wynn, the new one is Wynn Encore. After staying at the Palazzo, which is the sister of the Ventian, we were kind of let down.
Its kind of like staying at SSR when your used to GF. Nice but just ok.
The best part of it was the view of the snow capped mountains. (Remember, I live in a Valley, it was a big deal for me:goodvibes ).
So at the appropriate time we left the hotel and went over to the Flamingo where "they" are preforming.
We went and picked up our tkts from the box office and I could feel myself getting excited! They gave us our tkts and lanyards and told us that after the show to stay seated and we would be escorted to the meet and greet.
Now, I can feel the excitement starting to build.
When we got to the theater they were allowing people to go in and of course they were selling programs and the girl was cute because I was trying to dig money out and she said "Its ok, I;ll walk with you!":goodvibes
When we got to the door we were told once again to stay seated and then they gave us each an 8x10 of D and one of M.
We were escorted to our seats and table and we were seats 3 and 4 which meant there was only one other couple closer to the stage. I could touch the stage!
I say this in the nicest of ways, Mormons do not drink. Sooooo
there was a specialty drink menu with names like "A Little Bit Country" a Southern Comfort drink, "A L B RNR" was a Barcardi base and there were drinkd called It Takes Two and Puppy Love, etc. And you could get it in a souviener glass!:goodvibes I did not get a drink or the glass. I didnt want to be any goofier than I already am when I met them!
We sat with really a good group of people and that made it nicer.

A big red curtain is along the whole stage. It rises. Theres a screne with their images on it. It rises. Theres another screne and the images move. It rises and THERE THEY ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They come walking down this stair case that they use throughout the show.
They keep changing sides and they walk out on their catwalk.
They flirt, laugh, make fun of each other. At first it was just so surreal!
Slowly that feeling left and after all this time Im finally seeing them.
It had been 38 years since Id seen the Osmonds, 10 since Id seen Donny and Id never seen Marie live!
The show was Fantastic! They had a dance off and of course Marie won, we were so close you could see the sweat flying off of Donny, Marie sang OPERA!
there had been a local contest for the cutest puppy, so guess what Donny HAD to do?!:goodvibes
It was everything I wanted it to be and more and on two different times Donny looked at me and we sang together!!I could hear him but thank God he couldnt hear me!:scared1:
Of couse, they closed with May Tomorrow Be A Perfect Day! (Wayne wrote that!). And they were gone!
The lights came up and the usher came over and told us to follow him!
DH looks at me and its "OMG OMG OMG!!!!!"
We werent taken backstage but to like a blocked off area. We were cued in a nice line and passed a signed that was an enlared copy of the death cert of Bugsy Siegel. (Cause of death, gun shot to head! Really?!) I bet Vegas would have been really interesting in the old days!
So we finally get to go around the side of the partition and I first hear Maries laugh and then I see her. Im sure you'll understand when I say, shes just so cute! But I dont see Donny. So I look for him and I see him.
MY Dh is 6'3, DS 6', brothers. 6, 6'3 and 6'6. Donny is not that tall! I was surprised because I dont think he breaks 6! You'll see in the photos.
So as were getting closer I say to Dh wouldnt Eric get a kick out of it if Donny could sign something "White and Nerdy" (Weird AL video w/Donny)
Theres NO way Donny heard me because we were still several people away.
We get up there and its our turn, Donny extends his hand Dh goes first shakes hands and Im following him.
This is what happens to DH: He goes to shake Maries hand and she says to him "Oh, no, we hug here!" Dh is warm and friedly but sort of reserved and he had to hug Marie!
So those photos be got were the ones they autographed for us. Dh didnt care so I got one set for me and the other for Banana of Marie.
When Donny asked who it was for I told him that we have a 14 year old son who loves the video and he says "How about if I sign it to...from White and Nerdy Donny Osmond" OMG!! I told him thst DS would be taking it to school with him! OK so you know how brothers, sisters families talk over each other?
I had this moment of them both talking to me "With a c or k" how sweet, etc.
MY Osmond moment! Because they were both talking to me at the same moment!
They were only supposed to sign 2 autographs pp but I had handed the program to their helper and Marie signed the program and handed it to Donny and she was so sweet because I said thank you for signing that and she she says "Oh Heavens!" and smiles and does the wave off and so the moment is almost over and I said can I hug you to Marie and she smiles and says "Of Course" and she hugged back!
And I would gladly pay the 250 tkt price to do that again!
We were walking around the lobby waiting for the pics to be ready and in the lobby they had behind a glass case the "Boogie Woogie" dress she wore on DWTS and I turned around and opposite of that was the "Joseph Coat"! Did I take pics of those!NO! Dummy!

So when we get home on Sunday, I take the photo over to DS and he looks at it, reads it, hugs the photo to his chest and says "MOM!" if you have a teen, you know that speaks volums!
He tells Dh later that he wants it framed and in his room. Mom points!!

Ok, Im done rambling! Thanks for listening/reading!:flower3:

What a great evening you must have had. Love your pictures.
Two years ago, my DH and I saw Barry Manilow in concert and we had box seats in the third row. I know that reach out and touch feeling - it was incredible!!
Thanks for sharing with us.

that sounds like you had an awesome time. and I just love the pictures. i would have loved to have seen them. and so would my husband. he just LOVES Marie!:lovestruc
thanks for sharing the story and pics with us. i can't wait to show them to dh.

Rita, I am so glad you and your honey had such a good time.:)

Thanks for sharing both your story and your photos. I am a huge Tom Jones fan. :lovestruc I was telling my mother your story last night, and mentioning that I wish Tom had the same the opportunity when I saw him in Las Vegas a few years ago. I would have jumped at the opportunity! I did, however, go on a Tom-hunt to find his wax sculpture that was on loan from Madame Tussauds. I finally found it, and practically knocked it down trying to get a photo with it. My mother said "that's why he doesn't do meet and greets after shows because of crazy young fans like you" :lmao: - although I do wonder how many other 32 year old fans he has. I can tell you I was the youngest one in the audience that night in Vegas, and that was 4 years ago!

But it's great that you had a fun time in Vegas and got to meet Donnie and Marie. They seem like such down-to-earth people.
