Really like the show especially Ant & Dec, Gillian aready getting on my nerves though.
As for her obvious dislike of bugs I can only assume she has been driven by the publicity , anything to get back in the public eye. I have a sneaking suspicion her tears and panic attacks are exaggerated.
Unfortunatley that's where these shows attract certain people, Katie Price being a prime example , anything to get in the news.

so do we think that Gillian Mackeith is really so terrified of spiders or she realises that more people will be wanting to watch her if she acts up?? They know what to expect ny now surely!! Wasnt going to start watching but then it came on and.....But its def one to sky plus far too many adverts.

It is a bit unkind perhaps on Gillian, but I still think she is playing the audience a little bit. I mean why would anyone so terrified of bugs go into a jungle where they will literally be all over her? Being back on TV , in the newspapers, magazines, money perhaps.
Cynical perhaps but cannot think of another reason. People will continue to vote for her.

I think Gillian is exaggerating too, there is no way you would go into the jungle if you freak out at a leaf thinking it's a bug I'll be happy to see her doing all the trials for a while

We thought last night that it was all a big fake. She didn't start to freak out and 'faint' until after she had heard the bell ring.
And I thought it was quite funny the way the other girls in the camp pulled her story apart - "Why aren't you wet then?" "You managed to sit up in a coffin?"

Even if you've never seen the show (Helloo? Its on the internet all year!!!) you must surely know that if you're outside there's bugs - she could camp in a park in the UK and still see bugs. I want her to quit, she's annoying. Stacey has a terrible voice too, but she seems quite game so I can put up with it. Lembit is also annoying, love seeing Nigel Havers pulling his strings and he doesn't even realise

Exactly what Karen said last night, she started as soon as she heard the bell.

I don't watch much TV but this is one series I do watch.

I don't really watch this anymore - I just get drawn in sometimes when channel hopping. But I seem to remember watching live shots sort of Big Brother style in the early hours of the morning on the early series. Have they stopped doing this?

Gillian was pathetic, she ate the first school dinner as it was a cheese fruit pie or something. She wouldn't even attempt the rest, had an excuse for everyone of the dinners. All of the dinners were awful but she never even tried for the other girls. She is certainly not a team player.

Two camps have now merged into one. Stacey doing the next trial as Gillian, Britt and Nigel were exempt for medical reasons.

Gillian was annoying during the trial last night. And when it came to the egg -- she peeled it, took one look at how manky it was, and then did she say she was allergic?! Give over!!

I'm really liking Britt at the moment - I love it how she says she has to talk Gillian down. So funny! I also like Stacey I hope she does well in the task, although we may need subtitles!

I'm happy both camps are together now; as Stacey calls it "camp Shebuce" I'm looking forward to Shaun as he kept saying he couldn't be bothered with talking to the new people. Should be interesting...

I love the way Britt deals with Gillian. I thought it was funny when Gillian was being way over the top over not being involved in the next trial and Britt basically told her to shut up, calm down and let Ant and Dec do their job. After her claims to be a vegan and allergic to eggs I for one will be watching what she eats from now on

I'm also interested to see who the new celebs will be - assuming they can manage to survive their night in the shack that is

The look on Shaun's face as she refused the trials and when he said it would be easy to beat her was great.
I think he has been good, fast asleep snoring when the camps merged.

You still have to question why she went on the show, it must be for money/publicity.
Britt has her number for sure.

The dilemma now is do the public continue to vote for her to do them, with the probability she will refuse? Which kind of takes some of the enjoyment away from the whole thing - the best option would be for her to quit.

Two key points - if she was really a vegan would she even have TOUCHeD the egg? And surely if she was that strongly vegan she would have put it on her entry form (or whatever) and been exempt from the trial - I remember in previous years they've provided non-meat subsititutes for any veggies (so x sausages and y mushrooms or whatever).

And I don't remember her making a big thing when they had their "last" meal. I think Britt was quite right telling her to grow up and shut up.

Looking forward to tomorrow - none tonight because of the football (so at least won't clash with Apprentice!)

Yeah I agree. If you were vegan you wouldn't even eat eggs and I also saw her pull her top down during her 'fainting' episode. I think she is definitely exaggerating. But it's not even amusing, it's irritating!

Wonder who the newbies will be?
