do I need to avoid and which one's are not roller coasters that I would enjoy? Please bear with me and all my questions on the board, I've never been to US or IOA and it seems a little harder to find info on them than it is for Disney attractions. Thanks for all your help!!:D

It sounds like you might only need to avoid The Hulk and Dueling Dragons. Both of these are outside so you can easily check them out first.

Two of the water rides have huge drops but you can also see them before you decide. My son refused to ride Jurassic Park last year due to the drop unfortunately.

Do you ride Rock n' Roller Coaster? I've heard that the new Mummy ride is about the same intensity but with a lot to see and experience.

I'm a big chicken too......... the only rides at either park I won't do are Hulk, DD, JP, and the water rides......... everything else is fair game!!! I've not gone on mummy........ but from what I've been told it's similar to space mountain. I've never been on the rock n' roller coaster, so I can't compare! But, you'll be able to a lot....... you'll have a great time!!

Tina26- I'm a big chicken too and with the exception of Hulk and DD was able to do most of the rides including ROTM. The fear of the unknown is scarier than the rides themselves. You can read my trip report for a bit more detailed info. Hold tight and have fun!

Dueling dragons can be a little scary when you see the two dragons almost hit. They do make you go upside down. Hulk is a little more scarier because you start off very fast. Also when you think the ride is over, it is not. But it is a terrific ride. The jurasic park water ride has a big dinosaur right before you drop, which is also a very steep drop. If you are scared of most roller coasters I would not recommend going on these.

The Flying Unicorn is probably the least scary coasters at IOA, but the end brakes will toss you forward and throw you back hard! I hate riding it because of the strong brakes.

The Flying Unicorn also has a higher intensity than I thought it would have. It's still fun, except for the brakes at the end.

Hi! I don't do roller coasters neither, because I don't like the feeling of my stomach hanging in the sky. However I did find plenty of rides to keep me busy. I didn't ride the popular ones like Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Rocking Roller Coaster. However, my 10ds persuaded me to go on Unicorn, and lets just say, I outscreamed the little girls. Whoo! And I did try Woody's coaster. That was cute, just speed. The little dips didn't bother me. Don't miss out on Spiderman! I thought that would be a rollercoaster, but it's not! Back in December when we went, we must have rode that like 4 times in a row. As well we did the same with men in Black In Black. :hyper: I really enjoyed Shek, and when you ride Jimmy Newtron, make sure you have a supportive bra on! fyi I thought Twister would be this wild ride, but it's not. You just stand there. Now Jurassic Park ride, is kind of boring, except a few drops. I do have to admit I did scream, but it actaully wasn't too bad. I didn't want to do Dudley(big drop), but Popeye's is easy, like Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom.
Hope this helps~ because I was afraid to go to Universal, being I don't like wild rides, but I found, that I had just as much fun as my Dh , and son.
Have a blast! :hyper2:
