Must say that I did a lot of planing using the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2005 trip planner from www.touringplans.com pre-trip.
Feb 24th - arrived via Westjet to MCO from Toronto. Took shuttle to rental car lot EZrent-a-car and was amazed on drive over how much damage is still apparent after the Hurricanes of last year. The Days Inn on McCoy Blvd had no roof or top floor!
Weather was hot & Sunny (just like I had hoped)
Checked-in at All Stars Movies - Fantasia (got a preferred room overlooking woodlot) and immediately was presented with my pre-ordered tickets from www.mapleleaftickets.com and www.floridaorlandotickets.com (phew) and also got my "Passporter"
Kids were tired so we chilled in the room for a while (they slept, I read Passporter)
When they woke up they were hungry, so we drove over to CSR and used 3 Q&C's at the Pepper Market (Grilled Rib-eye steak, still the best value) smoothies and desert.
Day Two:
Feb 25th - EMH - MK - Raced over to take advantage of the EMH. Arrived at 8am and did Buzz Lightyear, Space Mtn, Philharmagic, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh (FP), Haunted Mansion and POC. Had just got onto BTMR and was sitting in seat when we were told "sorry, the ride is now powered down" so we got out of seat and were handed a re-entry at any time FP.
Left at around 1:30pm and headed back to ASMo.
Kids slept (how come they need so much sleep now?) So again, I read Passporter.
Kids woke up, we went to Y&BC to Beaches & Cream and exchanged 2 Q&C's for Turkey sandwich with fries, Hamburger with fries and 2 of the BIGGEST Ice cream sundaes I have ever seen!!!!!! My son was VERY happy with his Banana split (cost of these deserts alone was $8 each) but it was covered with a Q&C.
Not to miss out on park-hopping, we went to EPCOT for late afternoon and did Mission Space (Boy was I worried about those ice cream sundae's coming back to haunt us) but to no avail. Ride was GREAT!!!
Then we decided to stroll around WS and just stop wherever we felt like it.
Bought Fish and Chips at UK (I am from UK originally, so I had to try them, pretty good!!!) While we were sitting on the curb eating (no tables? but plenty of road or sidewalk space?) a group came out on stage and did a Beatlemania type show.... What a bonus.... they were really good!!!!
Afterwards, found a place to watch Illuminations.
Watched the spinning earth and started to head to the parking lot, beat the crowd and got home quickly.
Guess what? Kids slept, I read Passporter....
