Illuminations

I have 2 reservations on the night we plan on watching Illuminations. One is at the San Angel Inn another atTeppanyaki Dining Room. Both are at 6:30, which has the better view and which is less crowded?

Do you mean to watch during dinner?

Since the San Angel Inn is indoors below the temple/pyramid, I don't think you'll see much of Illuminations. However, the spots around the lagoon OUTSIDE the pavilion building have quite good views. I haven't been to Teppanyaki to know whether they have windows on the lagoon.

I have never watched Illuminations by Japan, but we watched close to Mexico in January (between Mexico and Norway) and it was not very crowded. And if you are leaving Epcot through the main entrance, Mexico is closer. But...since your reservations are at 6:30 you would probably have plenty of time to eat in Japan and still stake out a good spot wherever you want. I'd say pick the restaurant you most want to eat at and enjoy!

No, they don't. But I have heard outside the restaurant is a good spot.

I watched from Canada and the view was perfect!

A 6:30 reservation is awful early since the fireworks aren't until 9:00 PM. If you are going around the holidays the fireworks start at 9:30.

I assume you are talking about after dinner. Crowds vary the time of year you are going.

Both places are probably the same as in viewing area. But at Teppanyaki, There is a large, outdoor deck along the front upper level of the building where the view is great. We just took a little dinner 'break' and went out to watch. I does get a little crowded, however, not really a secret place
