illuminations/wishes cruises

I'd to book a speciality cruise (either illuminations or the wishes cruise) for my upcoming trip to WDW in August. Does anyone know, when you book do you have to pay for the entire fee up front or are you required to just leave a credit card security?

You leave a credit card in case of no-show, but you actually pay at the dock. I hate to tell you, but at this point you may have difficulty securing a specialty cruise depending when in August you're going. If the 90 day window is already open they may be booked - if not be sure to read the sticky thread at the top of the board for info on how to get one. Good luck!

Strange, I recall paying in advance on my Visa and then just tipping the Crew.

This was for Breathless from the YC Marina

We've done the Breathless twice (from YC marina) and a pontoon for Wishes (from GF) and all three times they took my CC over the phone to make the reservation, but I actually made payment at the dock when we arrived for the cruise. We tipped the captain in cash each time at the end of the cruise as we got off the boat. I was told over the phone that if you don't cancel 48 hours out and are a no-show they charge the full amount to the card you gave when making the reservation.

I have an Illuminations Cruise reserved for August 7th. With the raise in cost of the cruise, how much are you tipping now? Previously, I had seen $25. Is that still the norm?

Also, anyone know the number for Private Dining? I'd love to order a bottle of champagne. August 9th is our 20th anniversary. I'd like to begin the celebration a little early!!!
