My favorite place for viewing Illuminations is on the bridge between France and Gr. Britain. After it's over, we leave by the International Gateway right there. That way we don't have to deal with the crush of people all leaving the park at the same time. We've been staying at BWV or BCV anyway, so that's how we would be exiting in any case.

Yes, you will want to stake out a place early in order to assure yourself of a good view with nobody in front of you. I imagine it will be pretty crowded that night.

On my last trip, we tried viewing Illuminations from the area right by Canada. The crowds were small, so we decided to try viewing from somewhere else for a change since exiting wasn't going to be a problem. The view was very nice from that area too.

I'm not sure of the starting time. I thought it was either 9:00 or 10:00 at that time of year, but don't recall 9:30. Maybe someone else will know.

Have fun! I'll be arriving on Dec. 26 for 9 days. :D

We like the area right past the American Pavillion heading toward Japan past the funnel cake kiosk. There are some benches there and the view was great.

Our absolutely favorite view is from an Illuminations cruise, though!!!

Have a great trip!
