Is there a reason more people seem to want the Illuminations cruise over the Wishes one?? Just curious what the difference was.

Thanks

I think its because there are lots of viewing options for MK, like the CA Grille and such to see the fireworks w/o staking out a place to watch inside the park.

We did the Mk cruise with some friends and had a great time!

I don't know why that seems to be the case. I have only experienced the Illuminations cruise so I couldn't make a comparison between the two.

I think that for my next trip I should experience the MK fireworks cruise, too. That would only be fair, don't you think?

I totally agree - we must be fair to all of the parks/fireworks shows. I'll let you know what I thought when we return - but I've never done the illuminations so I have nothing to compare it to. I guess I'll have to talk DH into yet

With the Illuminations Cruise, you are almost closer than anyone else watching the fireworks and show. You can feel the heat on your facewhen the fires light up the lagoon.

For the MK Cruise, you are on the lagoon and there are hundreds of people who are closer than you are. You probably have a very good and unobstructed view of the fireworks, but others are much closer.

I don't know if it is exactly that more want one over the other, as supply and demand.
There are only 5 boats available each night for IllumiNations and that includes Breathless. With only 5 boats available, many people don't even have the opportunity to reserve one since they normally are sold out by 7:05am.
Whereas, with Wishes there are a lot more boats available, being dispatched from Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness, The Grand, The Contemp and The Poly!
Both cruises have their pros and cons, both cruises are extremely enjoyable.

Does anyone know the cost of these cruises?? I would love to surprise my husband and kids on our trip in May.
