Where is a good spot to view Illuminations from? I will be exiting via the International Gateway if that helps. Is there an FAQ on good viewing locations for Parades, etc.. ?

Thanks!

There is no longer a parade at Epcot. For exiting from the International Gateway, I would look for a spot on that side. It's usually easier to find a spot near Japan/Morocco/France at the last minute. The front of the lagoon and Canada fill up earlier.

This isn't at the International Gateway, but thought I'd add it anyway. At the World Showcase Plaza, as you are coming from Future World. Right up at the lagoon there is an area they will rope off up near the fence. It is dead center across from the American pavillion. If you wait by that rope, they usually drop the rope, maybe 15 minutes before the show starts. No strollers in that area and no standing either. It's a great spot, you don't need to fight the crowd to see.

JENJIE, when did u go and watch the fire works from the certain location cause I usually work that location with some of my fellow cast memebers... I work at the 2 merchandise locations that right at the start of world showcase. its called towers its were the big red bus goes...

Katie do you know CM Riley? He was the one working the ropes the night we were there. He was so sweet with my dd3, got right down at her level to chat with her and then shared the tip about watching Illuminations there.

There was another nice guy there working the ropes too, I don't know his name but he had been working at the Land entrance earlier that evening. When we walked in, he started singing the Mr Rogers song for my kids. It was so cute. Then after Illuminations, I didn't recognize him but he came up to ds4 and asked what he learned at the Land. It caught us off guard because all we did there at that time was eat dinner, lol.

I don't know what it's called but those 2 tower/monument things are right there. There is that section between the two stores where alot of people stand for Illuminations. The rope was across the front section where the two monuments are. We stood there and waited for the rope to drop. When they dropped it, we were able to go in and go right up to the fence to watch the show. As I said, we were in the very center, right up front. We really appreciated CM Riley's tip.

I unfortunately know CM Riley. I was one of the people that trained him for illuminations viewing and fun stuff like that. The kid that was singing mr rodgers was probally aron. He is just so into disney that its funny,. Those two stores that you are talking about...i work in those the area between were people stand. those are my shops

We usually watch Illuminations from the bridge between France and England. It's a great view, and we love being right by the Int. Gateway when it's over. :D

One tip... Look at the torches along the lagoon to see which way the wind is blowing. This way you can make sure you are upwind of the fireworks. It can get smokey if you are directly downwind.

We usually try to snag a table at the Outpost. It's between China and Germany. There is an island out in the lake but no trees up close and you can sit down. The only problem is that it seems to fill up early so we usually get a table early and then take turns going into the shops or getting something to eat.
