This may or may not be a stupid question, so please bear with me.

I'm going to WDW in February with my 5 yo daughter. So I'm thinking that waiting 1 hour or so to watch Illumination is out of the question.

The big question is, if I 'only' wait for about 30 minutes, can I still see the show rather clearly? Or is it becoming impossible to see?
Where should (or would I end up be) if I'm only allowing 30 minutes of wait time before the show?

TIA. :wave2:

You should definately be able to see the show.
But, what we did with our kids (4 yrs and 1.5 yrs) was, find a bench (ours was in front of the USA pavilion, to the left of the stage as you look at the lagoon), get a snack (apple pie ala mode from the USA pav. is AWESOME!), and unwind after a long day.
It worked out so well for us that the girls fell asleep while we were walking back to the car.
Be warned though, one of the launch points for the fireworks is about 10 feet in front of you. (They only launch from there 2 or 3 times.)

Enjoy the show!!!

Thanks! I hopy it's not going to be way too busy that day (Wednesday of President's Week).

I'll look for you, we are going that night too!;)

I generally going on the bridge by the interantional gateway exit. We have had luck sneaking in their late!

Enjoy,
This is one of my favorite's (If only they wold bring back ELP and TD)

I'll be the Chinese guy with shoulder-length ponytail, busy with camcorder, digicam, and GMRS radio

FatCow, you can generally find a decent spot almost anywhere in World Showcase with about 5 minutes of effort. I wouldn't stress over it, or spend 30 minutes waiting, unless you're looking for optimal videotaping conditions.

If you're just looking to "wow" your DD5, there are many spots along the west side of World Showcase (Canada through France) that offer nice viewing. I like the steps at the Canada pavilion. It's rarely crowded, the view ain't bad, and it's a quick exit from WS when done.

That's great! I can be in Canada while I'm in the US :bounce: :P :bounce:

Thanks for the info. I won't be taping much. I only 'allow' 1 hour of tape for the 6-day trip.

Cheers,
FatCow
