Saw Illuminations a few days ago. I'm pretty sure near the start there is usually a big ball of fire over the water, but this time there was no fire. The wind was blowing maybe 10 mph perhaps a little more, is there a point where the program edits out the fire if the wind is blowing to hard?

Maybe the cost of gas, assuming that is what they use, is to expensive (kidding, I think).

Blew up as in a big "boom" or were there just mechanical problems that needed repair?

From what I understand, A pyro discharged when they were moving the barge into the lake. Shot a piece of metal into the air and into the lagoon, but no one was injured. According to the report, a loud bang was heard throughout the WS. It happened on Monday Sept. 19th.

>The barge blew up a few weeks ago and is undergoing repairs.
As of last week, no repairs have been started, still being investigated.

As in BOOM, damaged, maybe beyond repair. If I was a betting man, I would hedge you may never see that barge again. The show is due to change, best guess I have heard is 2007 (Oct 1st 2006?) and the globe is being considered to remain in the new show.
