does the UK Lower Terrace have any exisiting seating like benches or railings or even concrete seats were flowers are?
 
Not sure if this is right as i havent actually booked mine yet but i was told that there would be an extra charge for any additional seating that is required, this is for the set up fee etc! I think the UK lower terrace has seating for 50 guests but again im not sure. Maybe you could change the illuminations viewing to a location that has more chairs and tables already set up?
 
We are having 100 guests and the Uk lower is good for that size. I was aware of the extra fees for set-up and chairs, as none of the locations have seating there already. I was jsut surpised at the cost per chair. I mean maybe I'm being unreasonable, but 10 dollars a chair seems like a bit much even for disney. On top of this there is a new site fee added on of 300 dollars i think. Plus the 180 for 2 hostesses. Oh well what can i do.

Thanks so much for those great pictures! Thats good to know that there are some benches for people to sit at. This way we can just have a few rented chairs to reduce the cost. Thanks so much.
 
I know this sounds horrible but it looks like it can fit about 20 people depending on size. As for the kids I would make them sit on lap and only get chairs for the adults. I hope this helps with some of the cost.
 
my contract for our illuminations dessert party this march says $75 for standard tables & chairs which are the plastic stackable ones. not sure if the prices have changed since we signed. as for seating some of the venues already have some benches like uk lower & italy isola and french island has some floral gardens with concrete where guests could sit.
 
twojo21 - where did it say that the set-up fee included standard chairs and tables? On my contract it jsut said set-up fee 75 dollars IF you want chairs and tables set -up. But when i called to inquire about this my event consultant said the 75 dollars is just a set-up fee and does not include anything. You are responsible for renting the chairs and tables on your own. Maybe you got lucky and signed before any new contract items were put into place. I guess i can hope that my consultant is wrong for now. :)
 
We had about 30 people on the Lower UK for our reception. They had turned the benches around to face the water for us. We did not get any other tables/chairs. Most people actually did stand or lean on the rail. I'm thinking we were there for about an hour - that included getting something to snack on and drink, watching the show and saying good night to everyone. I didn't hear any complaints about no other seating...
