IllumiNations or Wishes Cruise?

We've seen IlluniNations, but we are going to attempt to do a cruise with some friends. Which do you prefer? Can someone tell me something about the Wishes Cruise?

I've done both and I loved the Illunimations cruise. They take you right there. You can feel the heat from the fireworks and feel like you are right in the middle of it.

Now unless they have improved the Wishes cruise it was almost a disappointment. You are so far back you don't get that right in the middle of it feel. We could barely hear the music and there wasn't any way for the pontoon boat to be "docked". It kept floating and so the driver would have to start the motor and move us back into position.

The wishes cruise wasn't a total wash-out but just not the magical experience we had with Illuminations.

We did a Wishes cruise earlier this month and we were very pleased. We had music piped in. Yes, you were not "right there" but we were centered enough to see tink fly. We had a tour of Bay lake and 7 Seas Lagoon with lots of information given. Best of all, we arrived back at WL and no crowds to fight getting back to our rooms.

There are snacks and water, pop provided in the cost. We bought chocolate covered strawberries and wine from room service to enjoy on board. We would do it again.

We usually watch Illuminatations from the bridge between UK and France, and all of the boats for the Illuminations cruises gather there. It looks so crowded and that's why we didn't go for one of those. It seemed that we were alone watching Wishes, even though there were other boats around, just not right there next to us.
