I really wanted to try and get a dinner reservation for Rose & Crown on our Epcot night that would allow us to watch Illuminations (either from the table or from the viewing area, depending on where they seat us). The latest ADR I could get is 7:05pm, with Illuminations being at 9pm. That sounds like a long time to stretch out a meal to me, but I have never eaten there. Does it sound reasonable to anyone who has done this before?
Thanks much!

On average a TS meal takes about 90 minutes. R&C can be faster, but they don't rush you. We usually aim for an ADR around 7:30 pm for a 9:00 pm Illuminations. That usually results in Illuminations starting around dessert time.

In early Nov last year we were seated about 7:10 on the patio. The guy who seated us said our seats were perfect for viewing the 'fireworks'. That was when we decided to stretch out our dinner. We got an app and drinks. Then ordered another app. Got our dinner and then dessert which arrived just in time for Illuminations. It was a great nite! That trip we actually watched Illuminations from 5 differant places. (we were there 11 nites) R&C, Chefs, standing in Mexico, from our balcomy at BWV and from outside the R&C pub(in the reflections of the windows). WOW! Such fun!!!

Thanks for both replies...it makes me feel alot better about that early ADR time!

You can also keep checking the website for a later time. I did that last year, and after checking nearly every day for months, the perfect time opened up right before our trip. For my upcoming trip, I booked at 180 days, and I still only came up w/ a 7:05 res. I took it, and prepared myself for the constant checking once again. This time, though- my desired 7:40 res was secured just two days later! :) ADRs open all the time, so it's worth it to check frequently if there's a time you really want. (Your 7:05 should be just fine, though, if you don't want the hassle of checking back...)

Thank you! I have been checking and just now a 7:45 came up, so I grabbed it! I am sure the earlier ADR would have worked, but my 13 year old would not have enjoyed me trying to stretch out the time at the restaurant. She is not a big fan of sitting still for that long, lol! I think the 7:45 time will work much better for us :cool1:
