Illuminations from Port Orleans?

Can you see the Illuminations fireworks from Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter? You can see them from Carribean Beach Resort, and they look approx the same distance from Epcot (just different directions).

I've stayed at both, and I've never been able to see Illuminations from either. Has anyone?

Mine is the same experience as Carrieberry. I've been at both POFQ and POR and not seen Illuminations from the resorts.

I, too, have seen Illuminations from CBR, but I haven't from POR. But I did see the space shuttle take off from POR, which was really neat-o. I'm sure you can see it from anywhere at WDW if you are in the right place at the right time, though. Just another little surprise during our June trip this year.

Just looked at a map, I know you are real close to Germany when at CBR, so therefore you are very close to Illuminations. It's a lot longer to PO. First you have to cross the EPCOT parking lot for employees, then the road that runs parallel to the drainage river there, then the other road you access PO from, then the parking lots at PO.
Another point, the old Illuminations was shot much higher than the present (haven't seen it allot, but that was my impression when I saw it). I believe that this was due to the fire concern from a few years ago. Too bad, it would be nice.
