Illuminations ending rumor- credible or nah?

?????????
What's your question? The whole point to the rumor is its ending but will be replaced by something new. No strong sources have noted this rumor so therefore it very unlikely it will be ending anytime soon.

I saw illuminations 2000 very early in its run - I think December 98...

I saw it at 12:00 on 1/1/2000...when they had all those light towers and "security" everywhere because they thought the power was gonna go out...

Had a dessert party there...after my EPCOT wedding and EPCOT reception...

Long before they were sold by the dozens...

I can amaze my kids by describing the type and location in the sky of each firework according to the music...with my back turned and/or eyes closed...

It's been well over a hundred times I think... And I never worked in EPCOT.

That's the backstory for this opinion:
It needs to go...still probably the best fireworks display ever in Florida...but still needs to go. 17 years is ridiculous for anything of this type.

We saw Illuminations first in 1986 - it ended with "The War of 1812" cannons and all! - LOVED that version, and still to this day prefer that to the 2 or 3 versions that have replaced it...

We also were there for the millennium....we still talk about how the fireworks at midnight were so magnificent! It was like daylight there were so many going off...I still get goose bumps! And still also talk about how prepared they were for the Y2K disasters that never materialized...we still have the flashlight they put in our room! Now THAT was a trip!

My question marks to your original statement was because your statement made no sense.

Don't be critical. I've made my fair share of misspellings or missed words while typing on iPhone. Come on, you can place the proper punctuation in mentally, and make sense of it.

Basically what he's saying is they wouldn't take out Illuminations without having a replacement.

Your point seems to be that they'd happily cut fireworks in favor of projections. That's probably right. However projections have their place too, and they can be a very effective story teller.

Of course this is all speculation. So it's not really that meaningful anyway.

Correct and at this time other than the original poster no one else has put and strength or courses behind this rumor.
