Illuminations DP Viewing Fees

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to check in with people who have had an Illuminations DP regarding the viewing fees. According to what I have been told from our Wedding Consultant, we have to pay the viewing fees for everyone except people who have annual passes. I know all of our guests will be visiting Epcot that day, so they will have tickets to the park. How does that work with the viewing fee then? Will we get reimbursed?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure the process - but I'm pretty sure you are charged 12.95/pp viewing fee in your contract, then I think what they will do is on the day of, count how many have tickets to the park for the day and credit/refund you back for the fees you initially paid for those viewing fees.

The Passporter book may be a good option for you in planning your wedding!! Lurkyloo wrote it, and it's VERY helpful for DFTW Brides - answers many questions you may have!

I got the Passporter book and it has been extremely helpful, except that things seem to either change on a monthly basis with Disney or change depending on what consultant you are assigned to.

We just found out that they are discontinuing the Disney Wedding Website and paper Save the Date announcements. Disney is going the facebook route and starting 6 months from now, couples will no longer have the option of a website and save the date announcements. They will have to use this custom,personalized Facebook application for their Save the Dates and for their Wedding Website.

According to our consultant, they are doing this to be more "green" and because people weren't really interested in the paper Save to Date announcements.

I've asked my consultant about things listed in Passporters and these boards and he keeps telling me that "It's changed" or "It's no longer available". It's driving me nuts how quickly they change their minds!
