Has anyone done this Grand Gatherings event at EPCOT? Did you enjoy it?

Has anyone done any off the Grand Gathering events? We are travelling with another family and got a GG number for free so we can do these events...

It sounds great but would love to read some reviews...

you get widely different opinions on the events....but from my perspective:

Illuminations & Dessert Reception

Everyone in our group enjoyed this one. Food was not spectacular, but decent...viewing area for Illuminations was great! Doing it again this year

Magical Fireworks Voyage

Again, Everyone in our group enjoyed this one. The snacks & desserts were nothing to write home about..mostly prepackaged stuff. The boat ride was fun, enjoyed the pirate....fireworks were great. Doing it again this year

Safari Celebration

None of us liked this event. There were virtually NO animals out when we went. (Not their fault, I realize)But that made the safari portion a big snore. Did not care for the entertainment at all..kids thought it was boring...and the food was just so-so. But, I have read many reviews from people who loved it.
