Has anyone taken the Illuminations cruise? I was thinking of booking the pontoon boat, but wanted to get feedback. Is it worth the $120?

How long is the cruise? Any info would be helpful!

BTW, I'll be going with DH, DS's 4yrs and 8 months

've never been either but serveral people on this board have said it is great.
My DW & I will be in WDW the last week of May. If this is when you are going to be there would you consider sharing a pontoon boat?

edited: never mind. I see you are going to be there 2 weeks before us.

We'll be going 5/10 - 5/18.

I haven't heard much on the cruise. I looked on WDWIG.COM for info, but it didn't have much. There was a little feedback, but one was bad. I guess the wind was blowing in the direction of the boat, therefore, the smoke from the fireworks made it unbearable.

Beth, I have been posting on the Illuminations cruise board for May looking for a cruise for DS and myself between May 13th and 18th evenings with no luck - would like to share if you come across anything

thanks
Jason

I think the Illuminations Cruise is well worth the money. If you share the cost with others it is truly a good deal.

The cruise itself lasts about an hour.

The best way I can think of to tell you how special this cruise was for our family is to tell you what my 6 year old nephew said at the end of the cruise. He said, "This was the greatest day of my life." Now, granted, a six year old hasn't had all that many days in his life to compare this one to, but it touched my heart to hear him say that. It certainly made the price of the Illuminations Cruise worth it.

Not experiencing an Illuminations Cruise certainly won't detract from a trip to WDW, but it surely adds to the magic.

Jason,

Sure! I'll be talking to DH tonight and I'll probably be calling Poly Concierge tomorrow. If I get anything, I'll let you know!

He said, "This was the greatest day of my life."

With that, I think I'm sold.

Thank you!
