Illuminations Cruise Question

I would like to first thank nativetxn for the wonderful post on how to obtain a cruise. I followed the instructions exactly and was able to get a cruise on June 14. I have tried in the past but they were sold out each time. I am so excited it is going to be the perfect way to start our vacation.

My question is can you bring your own snacks and drinks aboard the cruise? Our cruise leaves from the Boardwalk which is where we are staying so carting our own snacks and a bottle or two of wine to the boat wouldn't be that big of a deal. Is this ok, or would this be discouraged by Disney as they might want you to use the cruise packages in which they supply the food and drinks.

We did an Illuminations Cruise in December, and we brought our own snacks with us (hot chocolate, cookies, chips, etc.). As a matter of fact, when we asked a cast member at the Yacht Club where to wait for the boat, she suggested that we go grab some snacks for the ride in the gift shop, and told us we could get hot chocolate and coffee at the lobby bar.

I believe that the only requirement is that you buy your beverages and snacks on Disney property. Congratulations on getting the reservation. You're going to love it!

I am new to this loop and was reading a message someone posted on the great tips on how to book an illumination cruise and what it exactly is. Could anyone let me know. My hubby loves epcots illumination and thought this might be a great xmas present(we leave for disney jan.6) to give him. It seems it is always hard to find a good viewing spot with the crowds, even in Jan.
Also, people are referring to,I believe, the International entrance or boardwalk entrance. When we have been to disney, we always come into WS via FW. Is there another way to enter/exit if our car is parked in the big parking lot.
Sounds like boardwalk is pretty at night and we have never been there

Dis Boards helped me get an Illuminations cruise also! We're going November 3rd. As I understand it we will watch Illuminations from the lake at Epcot.

I called ahead and asked what morning I would need to call in order to secure the cruise on Nov 3rd. Before I went to bed the night before I wrote the instructions on a peice of paper and set it beside my bed. I actually wrote my directions in VERY LARGE print...because who can read well at 3:55AM? Then it was only a matter of redialing until the system opened!

The cruise is wonderful! We just went on one two weeks ago, and I can't wait to do it again.

We brought wine, champagne and snacks. They never asked us where they were purchased. The wine was not purchased on property.
